This Woodys BBQ Got thee BEST Cook and His name is DEL
I always order take-out after a few orders I had to call the restaurant and ask what was the cook name. I ask to speak to a manager the manager was not in. I told her I wanted to tell the manager how I love the Brisket n Ribs Are DELICIOUS Del always cut my Brisket with the fatty the Ribs is so juicy and tender. This Woodys is really really good those lima beans and collard greens taste better than the soul food restaurants I’ve ate at.

I’ve heard many good things about this place and was happy to finally have a chance to give them a try.
Unfortunately, the hype didn’t meet my expectations. We tried the salads, one BBQ and one 3-Meat. They both contain meats that were julieneed and generous portions on top of each. The salads themselves were a good size. The dressings are homemade (Ranch and Blue Cheese were both delicious.)
Service was great. There is ample parking. The interior decorations were really nice, including the signed photo of John Wayne.
So why only 4 stars? Well, the meat just didn’t take my breath away. I know we had rabbit food underneath but this should have been a way to sample the quality of their BBQ and my 3-meats were good, but not great. Frankly, they didn’t have much flavor at all. No spice rub, no smokiness. The sauces on the table were also mediocre.
If I hadn’t eaten BBQ at a few other places that were exceptional, I probably would have leaned into 5 stars instead of 4, but between that and the disappointment after hearing how amazing their food is just swung me the other way.
I will definitely give them another try down the road and maybe see how the ribs are, and update my review accordingly. I admit that chunks of meat vs. strips might not be a totally fair judgement, so next time I’ll go for something more substantial and see how it goes.

Probably top five best wings I’ve ever had perfect crisp on them fully cooked tons of flavor no sauce needed and I’m a sauce, man haha Absolutely delicious. I’ll be coming back with the wife and kids.

Typically, I eat the southwest wrap with their yummy collard greens. The service is always great, too. Marie is usually my server. She knows my name, asks about my momma, and remembers my order. I got a two Meat combo dinner plate. I was expecting it would be a considerably larger portion than a lunch plate, which I have previously purchased two days before. To my surprise, the chicken was smaller in size and a smaller portion turkey. I got more for lunch! I paid for a dinner plate to get a larger portion. Disappointed.

Theresa is The Best Waitress. She’s half the reason I go there. Her and her mom are always sweet/friendly. Remember what I order , no matter how long it’s been since I came in. Other than that it’s a descent and quick BBQ lunch spot. Been going there for 15 years.

The brisket sucks It’s like they boiled it. It has no seasoning taste horrible maybe they should put a real smoker out back that use wood this is not real barbecue from my standards But the sweet potato was ok with the cinnamon butter and what I don’t understand is why people don’t Be honest in these restaurants reviews. IT WAS A WASTE OF $23 dollars I will not Be returning to this restaurant !!!

The cook in the back ( his name starts with a “D”) is amazing. Our server, Maria, was so attentive and helpful. Their coconut cream pie is made FRESH! If you love coconut, I highly recommend it. Their brisket and smoked chicken wings, paired with the chipotle ranch, is fantastic. The quality of the food, dessert, and customer service is impeccable!!! My mother and I will return!!

Great place for lunch. The people are friendly and awesome. Theresa pretty much has my order memorized. They have the normal bbq offerings but I normally do the woody’s burger as it’s one of the best burgers I’ve had. Pricing is good as well. Thanks for reading.
