I wish I took better pictures!! Everything was hot and fresh and made to perfection. They pride themselves in their corned beef hash and it’s some of the best I’ve EVER had. The eggs were perfectly scrambled. They were NOT overcooked or wet. The biscuit was amazing.
Also, we were served some tiny muffins with peach butter I think. It was fantastic. They have some really creative and talented bakers there. They brought out a giant strawberry pie they were selling slices of. It looked and smelled so good, but I was too full to try it.
The manager was a real nice guy and he came up to our table and asked how everything was, chatted for a few minutes, and genuinely cared about our experience and invited us back. I haven’t experienced that level of hospitality and service in a LONG time.
I can’t wait to visit again!

What a great place . The food was awesome. The little muffins with Blueberry butter. Yummy . Fried eggplant. Mushroom soup. Low country shrimp. Athens grouper. Portions gave us enough to take home for another meal. We want to try everything on the menu. The wait staff was attentive. Our experience started with meeting the manager at the front door . He sat us personally and checked with us several times. Great atmosphere. Bluesy soul vibe. Fun original Florida menu. Worth the drive for us .We’ll be back !!!! Thank you

Really good food! The potatoes in particular were very tasty. Mrs. Snowman was telling us that they reminded her of the potatoes that her Aunt Marge used to make. Aunt Marge was from a real rural ‘Cracker’ family so that makes sense. The green beans were really good too. The main course, crab cakes for me and Pecan Grouper for the wife, both were delicious. Our daughter had a Greek salad with salmon and she loved it.
Fried green tomatoes- great and the tiny muffins- wonderful!

I had the chicken Greek salad. There was no chicken on it. Waitress explained to me that they put it all in one big bucket mix it up and serve it to you I guess that’s why there was no chicken in it. My wife had the turkey bacon croissant very dry not very pleasing. My friends had Pecan crusted, chicken and pecan Crusted grouper they both shared it. They preferred the chicken over the grouper. ,That’s why they got two stars. But I do enjoy all the other Florida cracker restaurants I frequent often.

Florida Cracker Kitchen in Dade City is a must-visit if you love great Southern food with a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly service and a charming rustic vibe that perfectly captures the Florida Cracker spirit.
The menu is full of delicious options, but the chicken salad sandwich, served on a buttery croissant, was a standout—just like Grandma used to make. Creamy, flavorful, and with the perfect balance of texture, it’s the kind of comfort food that hits all the right notes. To top it off, the mini muffins with special 3-berry butter were a delightful treat—light, soft, and bursting with flavor.
The whole experience just feels like classic Florida—warm, inviting, and full of great food. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast or lunch, Florida Cracker Kitchen delivers a fantastic experience every time. Highly recommend!

We stopped in for lunch. I had the corned beef sandwich. It was really good. Service was great and pretty quick. I think you could have lunch and make it back to work on time. This restaurant was a staple in Dade City when I lived there 25 years ago, and while a lot has changed, the food is still great.

Everything was perfect. The welcome in, and the friendly family staff makes for a great experience. Brenda and Mariah were the servers for our table. I loved how everyone worked together. The atmosphere is warmth; open and comforting. Bits of the country feel, mixed with elegant cuisine. The food was delicious! We had the muffins that were so good, had a small hint of lemon zest, and really blended perfectly with the cranberry spread. Had to get some for later! As our entree, we had the Athens Grouper and the Crab Cakes with carrots and potato on the side which were phenomenal. I simply wasn’t a fan of the remoulade sauce with the crab cakes, but that was preference. It was $15+ for the entrees but absolutely worth it. I have nothing negative to say. Thank you! Will certainly return soon.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner experience last night at Florida Cracker… the shrimp and grits was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Mrs. Brenda and Chris provided exceptional customer service. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.
