Ordered Pho #47 ($16) and eggrolls ($8)for an early brunch. Service was quick.

Eggrolls: I like how peppery the eggrolls were and that they were not oily. The crust could be a bit crunchier and the filling could be a tiny bit juicier. Great filling-crust ratio.

Pho: great flavors, very well seasoned. The meats were so good. I do like Pho Hoa on Nicollet as well, and just for comparison purposes, it was more heavily seasoned than Pho Hoa. The Pho noodle texture was very great, it has a slight bounce to it.

The noodle’s flavor was a bit dough-y for my liking, so if I eat the noodle on its own, then the noodle overpowered the broth’s flavor. However it still tasted good if I paired meat and broth with every single bite of noodle.

They are very generous on the noodle. I scooped some out to the side and make my own little dry Pho Noodle mix with their chili oil, hot sauce, and hoison sauce. That tasted quite good.

Nice chill atmosphere and really good food. Dumplings we’re very tasty and the Pho is the start of the show. The Bahn Mi was also very tasty and the best I had so far. I would have added a Bahn Mi photo, but we devoured it before I had a chance. Will return to try other menu items. I recommend.

exceptional food and service! I tried their Hủ Tiếu Bò Kho and was absolutely delighted. I’ve been searching for a decent Vietnamese spot in the Twin Cities for over a decade, and only yesterday did I finally stumble upon one – after making a spontaneous decision to stop by Pho Pasteur for dinner.
I can’t recommend this place enough and sure am looking forward to come back!

One of my favorite Vietnamese spots and I’ve been to nearly all of of them in the Cities. Pho Pasteur offers a standard Vietnamese menu with a high level of quality — banh mi on crisp French bread, fresh bun that nourishes you the second you bite into it, a wide variety of cracked rice platters and other dishes, and pho in a rich broth bursting with herbs. It’s a family-owned spot and the service is very friendly and welcoming; in lieu of a kids’ menu, the owner liked to bring out a little plate of rice and pork for my son when he was a toddler (which he DEVOURED!), on the house, and another relative would sometimes come by with a toy for him to play with, like a rubber chicken. The physical space is a standard casual dining restaurant but with comfy booths as well as tables. And they sell banh bao, hot or cold, that you can take with you as an on-the-go lunch for cheap. If you like authentic Vietnamese food I can’t recommend a better place, and the service can’t be beat.

I had the chance to visit Pho Basil with a group of friends, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with plenty of space and seating, we were immediately seated despite being a party of six.
The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes and beverages. I ordered the Tai Bo Vien in an XL size because I was craving both steak and meatballs. The portion was incredibly generous which was enough to cover both lunch and dinner for me Hahaha! It came with a side of fresh vegetables, and I appreciated the complimentary cold water.
One of the highlights was the condiment station, which had a wide selection of spices and sauces to customize your pho just the way you like it.
For such a large portion, the total cost came to $25.98 including tip, which felt like a great value. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our visit. There’s also a conveniently located men’s restroom inside the restaurant and a spacious parking lot nearby, making the overall experience even more comfortable.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for flavorful Vietnamese cuisine in a relaxed setting!

Restaurant: Pho Pasteur (Saint Paul, MN)
Summary
I ordered the XL bowl and it’s a good size. The price is on the higher end for Pho. Broth was mild but good. Well balanced with a slight hint of sweetness. People who like a mild broth would enjoy the Pho.
Would I eat here again? Yes, but once in a blue moon. The Pho is good.
Spring rolls: 8/10. Very good, nice size and the dipping sauce was good.
Eggrolls: 8/10. Very good. Loved the crunchy outer shell and the fillings were meaty. Nice size and the dipping sauce were good.

REAL REVIEW HERE. THE TRUTH. Ok – this is a hidden gem spot in MN. Most people don’t know about this place but it’s pretty good. People come here for the pho but I don’t think that’s the best item in the menu.

THE BEST ITEM in the MENU is the BANH MI!!! I think this is the best banh mi in the state!!! Easily top 3 Banh mi here. All the Banh Mi here is good! I personally like the BBQ Banh mi. Everyone be sleeping on these Banh mi. 10/10 for the Banh Mi.

The Pho is good. Taste like your stereotypical regular pho (7-8/10). Spring rolls not bad (7-8/10). The items of the menu are decently good too but a little pricey (honestly cost the same everywhere else now too tbh). Boba is pretty good too (7-8/10).

Overall, nice small cozy restaurant. I mainly just come here for the Banh mi. I eat it everyday if I lived closer. Def try their Banh Mi!! Sleeper spot for sure.

‘8/10.’ “It might be the best Banh Mi in MN…or nationwide…”

The pho is ok but their bun Bo hue is the best i have ever had. Their spring rolls were large and delicious but it’s just too much lettuce and not enough noodles. The taro smoothie is really good, but the tapioca pearls were too soft.

I had the pho and it was average to good at best. Nothing special about it but the broth was fresh and light more like a springtime soup. Also the ingredients was fresh and tasty. Very moderate portions even after finishing the regular size bowl I was still hungry. I could have ordered some egg rolls or wings or something of that nature and would have been satisfied for lunch. My food came out hot and fast, and they use quality cuts of meat for their beef pho. You might not be blown away by the decorations or the friendliness but it is quiet and the food is pricey but pretty good and fresh.

This place doesn’t get as much credit as it should! It’s such a gem. Their food is always so delicious. My go-to spot when I’m around the St. Paul Midway-Snelling area! Spacious, clean, and the owners that serve you are super nice. You get seated right away & food comes out quick! The eggrolls are huge and delicious. Their pho dishes are packed with just enough noodles & meats. Pho is always consistent and truly one of the best in MN, imo. Try them out! They also have a variety of dishes to choose from including boba tea drinks. Highly recommend!
