i did NOT like it, it tasted like water. “less sweet” doesn’t mean not sweet — it had a weird oily foam on top, too.
my sister got the same but with oat milk & it was pretty decent. my dad didn’t mind his café mocha & my mom seemed to like her hot latte.
we also waited quite a while for our drinks, the barista was on her phone lol but she was nice!
My first time here was during their soft opening, when their kitchen was not yet in full swing and my first edible was when I had the amazingly good luck to be there as their baker shared a sample of one their signature blueberry muffins, and it was absolutely one of the best muffins I have ever had. Seriously: A love-filled nourishment portal from deep in the universe, funneled through a blueberry muffin. I’m also particularly fond of their beef stew and, well, literally everything else. Their caring genius chef, beverage masters, and all support staff get gold stars across the board from me.
That first day I also tried their maple and salt latte, and had the intention of enjoying it while doing some computer work on their peaceful back patio (around the building, away from the road), but the latte was so beautifully distracting that after two sips I gave up on multi-tasking and put my laptop back in my bag, untouched, so I could focus on the experience in hand (or in cup, I suppose). This same lack of computer work has happened every time I go, so now I know better. Eat and drink first, then maybe I’ll get work done ;).
For atmosphere, I’m an introvert and unusually sensitive to sounds of people, machines, and traffic vibrations, so the beautiful indoor setting and cushioned benches near the loudly whirring espresso machines mean that I either play my own music on earphones if I’m indoors or I sit outside in the shaded back patio, away from it all. (There are both tables and sofas back there, very inviting).
The colors, art, and seating in both areas are all calming, comfortable, and inviting. A lot of caring thoughtfulness has clearly gone into all aspects of this offering to the Sedona community.
I’ve now been back many times, weekly, to be honest, and have tried most things on their menu. Every item was flavorful and deeply nourishing, and I would get it again. My only difficulty is in deciding what I want each time.
Also, I like to linger there, to not rush myself or them. Everything is made to order with deep care, so if you’re in a hurry I advise calling ahead for pickup so they have ample time to do their heartful preparations of your order.
This is definitely one of my favorite spots in town, and I’m very grateful for all of the energy, intention, and attention that have gone into creating it.
We arrived early and decided to have breakfast before the tour started. We entered Earth Love Organic Kitchen and were immediately welcomed warmly by Emma who runs the front end. She was pleasant, engaging, treated us as though she had known us forever and was extremely helpful in assisting us with our order.
My wife had the waffle dish with bacon while I had the chorizo breakfast burrito and a side of home fries. We both ordered the house blend coffee. The food was capably prepared by Perry (and another gentleman). When the food arrived it was beyond delicious, hot and plentiful. My wife asked for more butter and Perry warmed some up for the waffles (while also keeping her waffles warm). We mentioned to Emma that we really liked the coffee and she brought over a bag to show us which blend it was – we ended up purchasing that, too.
When our tour ended (5 hours later) we stopped back into their restaurant and both Emma / Perry were thrilled to see us and hear about how the tour went. We spent quite a bit of time chatting with them and they were warm, friendly and engaging.
Uncertain if or when we’ll be back to Sedona but if we are we’ll absolutely be visiting Earth Love Organic Kitchen. If you’re from the Sedona area or visiting like we were, make sure to give them a try. You won’t be sorry!
