Orange chicken. Why is it grey? Taste OK.
Egg drop soup is super thin. Taste OK.
Sweet and sour chicken is not what you are used to and it was gross.
Pot stickers bland and dry.
White rice that is included with entree is a super tiny portion. You get one carton per 2 entrees. Bland taste and super dry.
Fortune cookie was tasty.
Over all it was way over priced and I wish I choose better.
Big disappointment!

Atrocious. And offensive to not only Chinese Americans but to anyone who wants to eat anything better than brown slop. Do you not have respect for your paying customers, and just think they don’t know any better? Everything tasted similarly of nothing. Noodles were, impressively, simultaneously bland and drowning in soy sauce. Orange chicken was soggy and mushy. Dumplings were both raw and stale. Panda Express is far from perfect but if you’re not at least offering something of that level or better, what are you even doing?

This is the Chinese takeout place East Nashville was missing.

Really cool atmosphere, but you will most likely be getting to go since it is designed for to go.

The prawns/ shrimp were awesome! Great flavor. Also really loved the eggplant and Mongolian Beef

It’s good Chinese at a decent price. People are saying food was soggy. It’s in steam trays! Anything fried sitting in a sauce will be soggy unless it just came out. Go to Xiao Bao if you want the best Chinese in East Nashville. In the meantime, the Mongolian beef here is pretty good and more affordable.

As an Inglewood resident, its great to have the expansion of new businesses in the Riverside Village area. That being said, I’d likely not recommend GP#3 in its current state.

I ordered the Mapo Tofu & Pork + Spicy Hunan Beef. Both items were decent and had a good spiciness profile, but the mapo was a overly salty. (too much doubanjiang?). The portions were acceptable, but i’d have felt better about the purchase if the size was just a little larger or if the entrees were $2 cheaper. If you’re coming from a larger metro area with substantial Asian populations (and restaurants) you will be disappointed.

Ultimately eating here will be more about convenience than being overwhelming delicious, which is not the best value proposition. IMO if you want the best chinese food in the greater nashville area then visit Corner Asian Bistro.

Update February 8, 2026: Another visit to Golden Prawn #3 has yielded a better experience. Ordered the Mapo, Chow Mein, and Orange Chicken. Flavors were better and to simply state, i’d go agian. Updating to 4 stars.

We waited to give Golden Prawn a try. It seemed the bad reviews came from their grand opening.

I highly recommend the salt and pepper shrimp. We had it delivered and we were surprised at the quality of ingredients and the flavor was on point. We’ve had it three more times since. I prefer the smaller wontons in the wonton soup as well.

Seems like the price is reflected in the quality of ingredients…and current cost of living.

I ordered the 2-item hot line plate, got split rice and noodles along with both Orange Chicken and Kung Pao chicken. For $12.49 I easily had enough food to split over two meal, and I got exactly what I had been wanting for Chinese takeout! This is definitely my new go-to for Nashville Chinese.

We ordered to go and had a great experience at Golden Prawn. The food came out fast, was served hot, and tasted absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and clearly prepared fresh. Friendly service and a great spot for a fresh Chinese meal on the go in East Nashville. Highly recommend stopping by if you want tasty Chinese food. Will definitely be back!

Have been here many times already and it’s so good! Food is really fresh and the people are super nice. I love the orange chicken and spring rolls so far. They recently expanded to their full menu, which I’m excited to explore, but the hot bar is more than sufficient for a quick pick up. Love the quirky fortune cookies too. Golden Prawn #3 is filling the spot TKO had in our hearts.

Love this addition to East!!! My husband and I ordered spring rolls, sweet and sour pork (our fave), chow mein, and the fried rice. We would order it all over again! I would describe it as comfort Chinese food, but a bit healthier and with better ingredients. I feel like the portions were appropriate for what we ordered. We’re excited to try the rest of their menu soon! Their fortune cookies have nice surprises in them as well.
