Mom Mom Hey Mommy Mom Mom
Walking into this place I immediately felt like I was on West Texas! The decor on the walls, the music, the owner greeting you invitingly…it was the perfect ambiance for a Sunday family brunch. Charming and authentic!
The chips and salsa were on the table fast and were SO GOOD. The chips were thick, obviously made in house. The salsa was spicy and so delicious my husband was drinking the cup.
Reasonably priced and the food was spot on. We lived in El Paso for years and this was the best Mexican food we’ve had since then.
We will definitely be back. Next time we will save room for dessert (fried ice cream or churros). The food was so good we just stuffed our faces!

The food proportions are TINY.
11 dollars for a spoonful of beans, 2 small street tacos and a scoop of jasmine rice.
Very disappointing. Will NOT be returning. No wonder they are never open, they can’t afford to stay open because I’m pretty certain no one is going to pay 22 dollars for 2 taco plates that don’t even have enough food to feed a toddler.

Fresh, authentic, and the flavor packs a punch! I ordered just a couple of chicken tacos, which came with a lime wedge and cilantro for garnish. Delicious! Will be back!

The food was pretty good, not big enough portions for the price they wanted. But tasty nonetheless! Service was great! Wish they had complimentary salsa instead of the generic Hispanic hot sauces they had sitting in the sun.

Ridiculously high price for a place that doesn’t even include pico de gallo in a chipotle bowl. $17 for chicken, rice, beans, cheese and sour cream? Then $2 extra for pico de gallo, $2.50 extra for guacamole. I really wanted this to be good because our food options at the PX are a bunch of fast food chains, but I was very disappointed.

Mid food, small portions, outrageously priced for quality.
Save the money and throw some minute rice in the microwave and heat up some leftover chicken instead of spending your money here. For a $17 burrito I expect it to at least be filling! This burrito was more like the size of an enchilada and rice was hard to bite. Chicken was tasty I guess. I was genuinely uninterested with every bite and even contemplated going up handing them it back it was so mid. Service was good I guess. Horchata is phenomenal but for $6 that will be my first and last time getting it. I cannot stress this enough, do not go here unless you just enjoy being disappointed.

Take your money elsewhere! Giving Mexican food a very bad name.

I had a chipotle burrito and so far it’s the worst thing I’ve eaten in a long time. The meat was very salty, greasy and the tortilla was not even cooked. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I always tried to give it a chance because sometimes mistakes can happen, but save your money because this place is expensive. Instead, go buy food from the PX is much cheaper and better. To be honest, this place should not be recognized as Mexican food.

I get the Chicken Tamale and it is the best tamale I have had on island. People complain about the prices, but suspect they haven’t been on Hawaii long, because $15 is on par for MacDonald’s and any other fast food. The flavor is amazing, the service is great and the price is on point. Also the best food court option.

Honestly I got myself an Grande chicken burrito and beef just for myself and it was absolutely delicious! It deserves a 5 star in my opinion because the food does have a lot of flavor and portion sizes are about perfect and it’s a mom and pop type of place and the owners are very friendly and I support my small family owned businesses. Y’all compare this place to taco bell and its really not fair. Like taco bell dog food for dirt cheap while this place has quality. Only business owners would understand but I’d encourage Y’all to give it a try and those who complain about the price must really see a financial specialist because the price didn’t phase me.
