Delicious vegetarian food! I’ve come here twice and have enjoyed the dishes with a few not as memorable ones (overall still tasty). They have a plethora of options, from a menu of dim sum appetizers to a wealth of larger plates. Service is great, the food comes fast and this is a comfy casual meal type of restaurant that I recommend!

Tofu with cashew nuts: Delicious! Crispy fried tofu with a nice sweet sauce 5/5

General Tso Seitan: Disappointing because there were less than 10 pieces and the exterior of each seitan piece was a bit dry and tough to chew. Also such few broccoli pieces. I’m pretty sure the sauce used was the same as the Tofu with cashew nut so this had a sweet touch with the savory seitan. 4/5

Sizzling tofu: Spicy, savory but a bit salty! I wish there were a bit more vegetables with the tofu. I couldn’t really eat the sauce with rice alone because it was too salty. 4/5

Seaweed appetizer: Very dry, I don’t recommend this one 2/5

Sizzling eggplant with king mushroom: This was alright, not as flavorful 4/5

Spicy soy nuggets: I loved this one, it had mild spicy Szechuan flavor and plentiful amounts of veggies with soy protein. I’d get this again! 5/5

Had an amazing lunxh. This Chinese food may lack meat but does NOT lack flavor. Everything was delicious, service fast staff super friendly. Order to check was 59 mins exactly. Which was great because I only paid for 1 hour parking. Treat yourself to this one

Unit Su Vege…
A Vegetarian’s Dream Come True

I found myself in Philly a few weeks in a row and I kept coming back to Unit Su Vege. Why? Because they kept nailing it. Every. Single. Time.

From the moment I walked in the second time they recognized me. And yeah, small details like that go a long way. Especially for someone like me who doesn’t often get to walk into a place and order anything on the menu. That’s rare.
The food is absolutely delicious. They’ve got this chili oil right on the table next to the soy sauce, no need to ask, it’s just there. You already know that’s a green flag.

Let me talk about the dumplings and the legendary Tso’s Chicken.
The dumplings? I had them every single time. They come out in a steam tray, hot and perfect. Soft, flavorful, crafted with intention. A must order appetizer for at least
As for the Tso’s Chicken this one blew my mind. It’s their most popular dish and I can see why. I legit had to stop mid meal and double check that it was actually vegetarian but rest assured everything on the menu is.The texture… Dialed in. The sauce? Finger licking good. I haven’t had anything that good since I gave up meat, and no tofu version ever come close. This one? It hits.

Bonus tips…
Get the ginger tea. It’s just a dollar and easily enough to serve multiple times. Light, comforting, and refreshing.
I finished with tiramisu every time. Yes, every time. It’s that good.
The staff is kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The owner walks around chatting with people you can tell this place has a strong local following. It’s got soul.
Next time I’m in town, you already know… I’ll be back. There’s still more on that menu I want to try.

So delicious!!! The tofu with cashew nut appetizer was amazing. We also got the veggie dumplings and then the pineapple sticky rice (beware it’s a bit sweet, more of a dessert dish imo). Will definitely be returning to try their sesame seitan and their phoenix buns!

This restaurant proved to be an excellent choice for dining, offering a variety of lunch specials that cater to different dietary needs. The menu is clearly labeled, making it easy to choose the right meal. I opted for the lunch special that included Singapore meifun in a vegan style, along with a choice of two soups and a vegetable spring roll for only $9.50 – a fantastic value for the quality of food. One of the soups we ordered was the 3 mushrooms soup, which turned out to be excellent with its smooth and savory flavor. The portions were generous and the service was incredibly fast. The vegan Singapore meifun, hot and sour soup, and spring roll were all delicious and satisfying. Instead of dessert, I decided to go for a fresh juice smoothie made with pineapples, oranges, ginger, and carrots – a refreshing and energizing drink to end the meal on a high note. Overall, the service was quick and efficient, adding to the positive experience at this lovely restaurant.

Amazing plant based food!
This was our first time here, and this restaurant is really worth trying!
We ordered rice dumplings and were okay, not that great but the sizzling tofu was so amazing! Tofu was so crispy on the outside and it was so soft on the inside. The taste was amazing, sauce was good!
The Woodward mushrooms were something u tried for the first time and they tasted so good!
Overall I would visit this place again, they have an amazing vibe.
Bathrooms were clean. Server was great.
They even gave us fortune cookies with the receipt at the end.

For anyone craving vegetarian or vegan Chinese cuisine in Philadelphia, Unit Su Vege is a reliable go-to. The combination of a massive menu, standout dim sum, inventive mock-meats, and accessible museum-adjacent location makes it ideal for both casual visits and dedicated foodie outings. Their friendly service, variety, and atmosphere are welcoming.

Highly recommended for plant-based eaters, weekend museum-goers, and anyone wanting a fresh, vegetarian take on classic Chinese fare.

Amazing food. Good service. Excellent vegan options. One of the 5 best vegetarian/vegan restaurants I’ve been to in the 10+ years I’ve been vegan, including restaurants from five major US & Canadian cities. The pictures don’t look as good as the food did in person. Bring your carnivore friends and family, they’ll like it too! It’s all delicious.

Went for a late lunch, and so glad we did. The lunch special is such a great deal, but we didn’t realize how much food it was, so we got a few extra dishes. Not that I’m complaining- everything was absolutely delicious, we had plenty to take home, and we paid an outrageously low price for how big the portions were. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Truly a great restaurant. We can’t wait to return!
