It’s a pretty good weeknight comfort food option. I got the black garlic oil ramen. It is a reasonable portion with plenty of ingredients. The pork is well cooked and sliced thin. Next time, I will try the hot pot.

Don’t come here expecting authentic Taiwanese flavors. Nothing we ordered came close. The hot pot tasted artificial, almost chemical, and the ingredients didn’t match the price point. The deep fried stinky tofu was disappointing, and all the fried appetizers were plain, underwhelming, greasy, and served in small portions. The only decent dish was the deep fried pork chop with braised pork rice, which was just okay. We left almost angry, given the quality of food we received compared to the amount of cash we paid. Their dessert was fine.

In the bay area, you can find a lot similar or franchise, but this one is unique in Alameda so far.
Street parking only, but public parking is plenty in the area.

Service and foods are good. I ordered #8 and #12. For some can’t eat too spicy food, #8 is the balance one. I also ordered AP01, and AP04. If the spicy beef Tripe serve in hot, that would be much better.

I’ve dined in 3 times so far and this recent time I came with a group of 7! Super friendly and the food came out quickly. If you love stinky tofu, get this hotpot and the fried stinky tofu. At the end of the meal, they give you a scratch card for some goodies!

Huge menu of hotpot, dessert, and boba. Clean interior and the perfect spot to catch up with friends and family

Edit: Way better than Tasty Pot

Tasty Point is a really delicious Taiwanese/Chinese restaurant on Santa Clara. They have many hot pot options, but their other dishes are stand-outs too! Nearly everything we’ve tried has been super tasty. And their boba and other drinks are great.

Came here for dinner on a recent Friday evening. Our party of three ordered a stinky tofu hot pot, an herbal soup hot pot, and a fried pork chop rice plate.

The portion size for each order was very good and service was fast and efficient. The two hot pots were okay, nothing spectacular. Their blood cake was very mushy, the pickled veggies very bland, and there were very few intestines. Also, my stinky tofu was not good at all. It wasn’t much different than regular tofu. Their dipping sauces were not very tasty either. The three sauces, Chinese BBQ, garlic soy sauce, and hot chili oil were all very disappointing. The sauces were very sour and lacked flavor and had a very watery consistency. Thankfully the pork chop was delicious.

Having lived in Southern California, I’ve been spoiled by Boiling Point and other local independent spots. I guess this is decent for the area, but I won’t be going back.

Not many Taiwanese restaurants nearby. Good addition to the Alameda noodle selection that isn’t a one-stop-shop of all ethnic asian cuisines (although they do have Korean and Japanese things on the menu, but maybe avoid these?). I can see how they would dial down the tofu stankiness to cater to the American taste buds, but I still enjoyed mine. Lamb skewers and rice dish were great. Taiwanese desserts in general are delicious bc they aren’t the sugary diabetes-inducing level at most places.

Will be back next time I need a quick fix at the last minute with family.

I’ve been here more than 3x. I love their spicy beef hot pot and my wife likes the porcini kind. Their lamb skewers are bomb!! So good that you’d want more. Very clean and has a clean resttoom too. Please be aware that there is a 15% service charge. But all in all, 5 stars for the food. I just mostly go here for hotpots since the one in San Leandro closed and didn’t want to drive to Fremont or Union City.

Newer restaurant to me, Taiwanese hotpot and Boba drinks.

Nice modern looking restaurant with pictures of menu items on the wall, Different types of hotpot sets, Each seem to be unique. Spicy, sour, Meat and vegetables. I ordered the Porchini pot which was very tasty and deep fried King Oyster mushroom. my companion ordered the Black Garlic ramen. All were good.

The service was lacking, because the servers lack of knowledge of menu items and not knowing how to explain. Food or service.

They are young and will grow with experience.
Give them a try
