My experience:
Walking in it was a bit disorienting as there is no “seat yourself” or “please wait to be seated” and there isn’t any front concierge w/ menus. I just sat myself and waited till the owner showed up.

It’s a small place and feels like you go to your South American friend’s dad’s house. The owner is the waiter and he’s certainly a personality.

There aren’t prices on half of the things there. No prices on the chalkboard. Could use better organization and ease/clarity of making choices. Menu needs to be easier to navigate.

As far as the food, the limeade he makes is probably the best I’ve ever tasted. But, again, I had no idea how much it cost. I downed two of them and just those two cost $13 each. I mean, it’s good, but $13 good? I paid more for two limeades than I did for my main dish.

Complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and the chips were warm. Very good. The presentation was excellent for each dish. No flaws there. Bigger portions for the main dish than I expected. I got the fish tacos. However, flavor was mid (wasn’t bad at all but not the best I’ve had), fish was cold, and the rice was crunchy/undercooked. Salad was good though.

3.5/5.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Manny is amazing, as well is everything we tried! Fresh guacamole, papusas, authentic pulled chicken tamale (wrapped in a giant banana leaf), sweet corn tamales, plantains, Mimosas, sangria

Food is fabulous and toddler-approved! The pupusas were so fresh and so flavorful. The platter was generously portioned with a side salad, plantains, and beans. The cocktails are fresh and fun with a seasonal flair. Cozy, neighborhood vibe.

The pupusas were amazing! I had the chicken and cheese and it was a solid 10/10. On Wednesdays, they’re only $4 each, and on the weekdays between 3–6 they have a deal where you can get 3 for $12 with a drink purchase, I thought that was pretty cool. I also tried the Margarita and man it was strong in the best way. They even make their own juice for it, which makes it extra good. Definitely coming back and telling my friends about this spot!

The food was authentic, the owner (Manny) was attentive, and the place was small but welcoming! We were there for an early lunch, so it wasn’t busy yet and we were able to sit and talk with Manny. I always am impressed when I find a bay leaf in my meals at restaurants, it’s a true sign of the attention paid to flavors and is common in smaller, locally owned & operated establishments. We loved it and will be back!
