After going here I think I will have to adjust all my other reviews to be 3 or 4 star reviews, as none of them deserve to be in the same category as flemings.
We were unprepared for this experience, felt a little underdressed; the hostess immediately put my wife at ease and was very kind.
In 40 years of eating at as many restaurants as I could, our server, Fisnik, was by far the best I’ve ever experienced. Extremely professional, but not overly formal. Very respectful and made us feel extremely comfortable throughout our dining experience. He was very attentive and he found the perfect balance of giving helpful suggestions without being overbearing or pushy. We could not have been happier.
The food was incredible. Best steak I’ve ever had. From start to finish we enjoyed every aspect. From the amazing butter on the bread, to the delectable chocolates at the end of the meal.
The atmosphere was excellent. The music was at an appropriate level, the lighting was great and the decor was comfortable.
It was our 10 year anniversary and we even received a signed card from all of the staff. Just a small thing that shows great foresight and consideration.

I was here Saturday night with my cousins for my birthday and we has so much fun. Our servers Steven and one other gentleman( I’m so sorry I forgot his name ) were really nice and kind to us. They went above and beyond while serving us. The food was delicious. I wasn’t to fond of the portion sizes but it was still tasted really good. The ambience was really nice as well. I loved how they had a clear windows looking into part of the kitchen making the experience more enjoyable.

My bothers and sister selected this steakhouse based on reviews. We wanted a nice place to celebrate our Dad’s 80th birthday. The restaurant staff, atmosphere and food did not disappoint.
We had a party of 10, so to our surprise had a private room. This was awesome, allowed us to interact with everyone, take pictures and enjoy our time together.
Our server Justin and his counterpart was excellent! They both answered questions on the menu, provided tips with menu and drink options – Justin’s suggestion for Don’t Be Salty cocktail; the flavor and smoothness matched the description perfectly.
So the appetizers was new experiences for some at the table, selected the Chilled Shellfish Tower, Ahi Tuna Poke Stack, Sweet Chili Calamari and Onion Rings. The birthday VIP enjoyed all the things . He said it was all good.
And then the entrées were really good. The Prime Tomahawk was the main selections – each guest had from medium rare to well done, 4 orders two included the Colossal Diablo Shrimp. And then there was 2 Cowgirl Bone-In Ribeye, chef signature series Jumbo Scallops with Wild Mushroom Risotto, 36-Hour Braised Short Rib with roasted garlic mashes potatoes, port wine demi-glace, Main Filet with Steamed Lobster Tail, and a chef created grilled cheese with fries.
Overall, the food came as order and was absolutely delicious. Two items needed a slight adjustment, and Justin handled both with exceptional care and patience. The filet, requested medium well, came out with a thicker pink center than expected, and the grilled cheese, though not a menu item was made using brioche bun, which ended up more toasted than my niece preferred. Both dishes were promptly remade and returned perfectly.
This is family style with main entrée and sharable sides. We selected Crispy Brussel Sprouts & Bacon, Roasted Asparagus, Chipotle Cheddar Mac & Cheese. My meal came with the roasted garlic potatoes, so only tried the Mac & Cheese which was savory and good cheesy blend. I loved it! The other sides everyone enjoyed there was not a bite left.
The surprise birthday party was amazing, good food, service and fellowship.

Celebrating my wife’s birthday tonight, I reserved through open table with just a note of the birthday as the reason for the occasion, the staff at Flemings knew the assignment and freakin nailed it. Framed picture of the occasion, hand made chocolate truffles in a gift box, birthday card signed by what looked like the entire staff Our meals were amazing and our waitress was an absolute joy. Thank you for a memorable evening.

I wanted to tell everyone I know how fabulous Fleming ‘s really is. My wife and son Triston today were treated so warmly by the staff. My son, who is inspired to become a chef was thrilled that the Chefs invited him into the kitchen. He got to ask them many questions and they gave him so much valuable information. Beyond that great opportunity came the delicious food which they couldn’t stop raving about. My family will be going back very soon to indulge again. What a treasure to have such a great place to dine.

Me and boyfriend went last monday for a late valentine’s day night. my boyfriend has been wanting to go to a steakhouse, we have just never went due to cost. i surprised him with fleming’s and i am so happy i chose here. walking in, it was so beautiful. i did make a reservation ahead of time. we were 5 minutes late due to traffic unfortunately. we were sat immediately. our server was stephen who was great help with this being our first trip. I will say that i am a picky eater when it comes to meat specifically so i was nervous going into this. to start we got a ceaser salad to share. we got a chilled forks when served the salad. we had fresh ground pepper added to the top which i felt enhanced the experience just from the start. we did stick with water for drinks, came with a side of lemon and lime. we got our bread and butter. both were great. we were given this orange buttery texture dish when given the butter with the bread. i am unsure what it was but i did not enjoy that. i decided on the 36 hour braised short rib and my boyfriend got the filet with espresso butter. both were chef’s signatures. when the food arrived it was given to us by someone else. i normally don’t notice or honestly care however our entrees were switched. we weren’t asked who’s was who’s. had the food placed in-front of us. again i normally don’t care, simple easy fix. however one of these plates was extremely hot. this made it a little harder to switch. not a huge deal we did it. both of us were blown away by the food. only complaint i would say is i did not love the sauce that surrounded my meat and mashed potatoes but it was easy to get around. my boyfriend was in amazement with how good and well cooked his meat was. absolutely in love. our waiter came and made sure everything was good. asked if we wanted dessert. we absolutely had to. i choose a chocolate lava cake. absolutely delicious and hot. my boyfriend got the new york cheesecake. it wasn’t a favorite for either of us. the strawberry red wine sauce we felt you could definitely taste the wine in. my boyfriend isn’t the biggest fan of wine so he didn’t eat much of him. he did love the whip cream however. the staff here was amazing and seemed to work so well as a team to make sure every table was set. we did have some food to take home and they had everything boxed and bagged for us. while leaving our waiter stephen handed me a little box with some truffles in it which really was amazing and he made the night feel special for me and my man. we are so excited to go back and we have not stopped talking about the food and the experience since.

Our favorite restaurant in West Des Moines for special occasions. The food and service is always impeccable. We love that their children’s menu offers more than just the standard. Their Amused and infused Martini is dangerously delicious. We had the calamari and crab cakes as appetizers-the calamari was perfectly crisp and the sweet chili sauce with the fresh peppers was a nice kick while not over powering. The crab cakes were . The adults at the table had the pork chop, cowgirl ribeye, lobster mac n cheese, sweet corn brulee and Brussels sprouts. Everything was perfectly prepared to our specifications and we fought over who got last bites of all 3 sides.

I order chicken breast and the Fleming’s potatoes. Both were awesome, food was served quickly and hot.

This is it. This is where you go when you want consistent great service, amazing food, and an environment that gives exactly what you want. It’s the bar for girls nights or casual night with the guy. It’s the amazing service and knowledgeable servers that actually serve you. Have you ever heard that saying, you can tell good service because you don’t notice you’re being serve? All your wants are just met? That’s this place. And we haven’t even started with the steaks…. Arguably thee single best steak I’ve ever had hands down. Don’t think, just treat yourself.
