First time visiting Las Cruces, NM and I was looking for a good place to eat. I happened to find this place on Google. Went there as it was first opening and ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich with Fries, Mac n cheese, Cajun rub wings, and the Pulled pork loaded fries for myself and my friend. The Pulled pork was amazing, great taste and savory. The Mac n cheese was made with real actual cheese and was pretty darn good. The wings were amazing!! Perfect crispiness flavorful and juicy!! The loaded fries were great as well! Also very welcoming and friendly owners and chill environment! Definitely recommend!!

RUDY’S WHO?! Best brisket we ever had!!! We got the brisket melt with fries, the jerk chicken sandwich with garlic parmesan fries, and banana pudding. ALL of it was amazing. No need to order the meat “moist”, its flavorful and juicy, not dry at all. The jerk chicken had just enough spice, not too spicy. I love the touch of charring the logo into the bun, and the fresh garlic in the fries, and the fresh bananas in the pudding, all of the little details made such a great meal. The service was great, food came out fast, and it’s veteran owned and they support veterans with military discount. Highly recommend, definitely will be returning to eat here!

Omg! This place was phenomenal!!! It was a bit of a wait but you can tell the food is made to order. I had the jerk chicken, mac & cheese and garlic parm fries. What a blast of flavor !! Each bite was just as delicious as the next. My bf had the bacon double smash burger. He loved it and wants to go back even though we live over an hour away, ha!
Great customer service & vibe. Limited seating, but we got a seat pretty quickly.

The food was seriously amazing. It was a little more expensive but it was totally worth the price for the quality of the BBQ. I got the cowboy burger which was incredible, stacked with bacon, tender brisket, and cheese. It was so good and I left super full. The mac and cheese was delicious. My friend loved the collard greens a lot and she also really liked the jerk chicken. The garlic parmesan fries were super good too. My husband got the huge dino rib; it was honestly the biggest rib I have ever seen and it was so juicy and good. The atmosphere is very casual, just a small space with two tables and a TV, but that makes the focus entirely on the food. You can tell the owner cares deeply because he came out and talked to us about our experience after the meal. Go here for some truly fantastic, passionate BBQ.

I have never had bad BBQ till now. The brisket and ribs both tasted like beef jerky. The ribs were hard and chewy and the brisket, tho it did have good texture, the flavor was like eating jerky.
We had a side of Mac’n Cheese, which tasted like the dairy to cheese ratio was on the dryer side and had a floury taste. The cheese fries are what some-what saved this place, tho again, not that good. The fries tasted like they were frozen and then warmed up in an air fryer. -The cheese sauce was good tho.
Save yourself and spend another $10 and go to Rudy’s.

We are in town exploring places to retire and had a hankering for a hatch Chile burger. This place had very good ratings so off we went. Was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who guided us into our food selections. Double smash burgers with various toppings was over the top good. Atmosphere was friendly and just generally welcoming and friendly. Las Cruces is likely our retirement destination and we can see this joint being in regular rotation! Thanx Smokey Sensations, we will be back!

My experience here was one of a kind, first and foremost the staff and the owner are very hospitable, love that. I got a free sample of the jerk chicken! They we’re out of brisket so we ended up getting other menu options that were very great!

This BBQ restaurant has quickly become my home town favorite. The food is amazingly flavorful. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is cozy with a selection of memorable music playing in the background. The owner greets customers table by table with a friendly smile and a gracious manner. I can hardly wait to come back again.. and again… and again!

Everything we’ve had here has been amazing. The smash burgers are fantastic! The teriyaki salmon bowl is amazing and an awesome option for a bbq spot. We also love the brisket, baked beans, and mac and cheese. The chicken tenders are fantastic as well. Can’t wait to try more!
