Big Mario’s pizza deliveres a big slice with Huge flavor!
Came in after a walk and yap sesh with a friend, got a large pepperoni pizza, a soda, and cider to reward ourselves, and watch the game.
great atmosphere with old VHS tapes. Felt like I was raiding my parents vhs collection.
$48 for food + tip. Not very busy so super fast service

I’m from nyc and was feeling homesick and saw the pizza here honestly I had given up on finding pizza that was close now I can’t say it’s the same as in nyc but it’s the closest I’ve found so far. I also got their blackberry lemonade and was not expecting such a heavy pour it was delicious but it was mid day so I didn’t finish it. Service wise I didn’t have a a negative or positive experience so I can’t say much. I liked the atmosphere it felt like it had history and not the fake kind you see at Applebee’s different stickers posted everywhere and tapes of a lot of different movies makes me wonder if they have movie nights. Definitely coming back.

This is my first time ordering from here and I just got a plain cheese pizza. Sauce is very spicy for red sauce. Not bad, but if you don’t do well with heat you’re in trouble. Cheese mixture was good, but the crust was very dry and more like a cracker than thin crust pizza. Was fine for what it was but kinda bizarre. Not sure I’d order from here again unless it’s super late and nothing else is open.
Edit: it gets worse. Half of it was burned. I understand food service is rough right now, but I think this place would benefit from a little more care.

Yummy-I like it. Great retro feel in side with tight quarters. Talk about elbow room. Has a college and NY city atmosphere. Love the VHS on the shelves throughout the place. Wonder if they rent them out. Just got two slices this time. Good crunch to the crust, NY style thin slices . They also have the square pan thick kind. The sauce is surprisingly spicy and thin with a balance of cheese spread out. You can fold the pie to fit your mouth but the scoop and bite will work.

If we’re talking about the pizza itself, then yes, it was good. But to the extent that the company “nickels and dimes” their customer is absolutely RIDICULOUS…. a fee for carry out? OK, I guess they are simply trying to pass along the cost of the box to the consumer. A bit over the top, but acceptable. However, a 5% fee added to the overall tab just for the hell of it? NOT acceptable….
Shame on you Big Mario

I’ve been working as a delivery driver in Seattle for over five years, and I’ve never encountered such unprofessional behavior as I did at this location. When I arrived to pick up an order, I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited patiently outside, then returned after the time had passed and was told it would take another 8 minutes. I waited again and came back after 8 minutes, but the order still wasn’t ready.
When I politely asked how much longer it would take, the staff member became rude and even started swearing at me. I was surprised and disappointed by this reaction, especially since I had been patient and respectful the entire time.
After checking the reviews, I noticed several other customers have also mentioned poor service from this individual. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this kind of attitude gives a bad impression to both customers and delivery drivers.

My partner, 4 year old daughter and I went in and tried to eat there. They completely ignored us and after 5 min or so we left. Luckily there are a lot of food places to eat around the area. A few weeks later my partner and I tried again on a date day. We actually received service but it was the absolute worst interaction. It was like the guy was mad we were there. Then while we waited another person came in for pizza and it seemed like a regular customer and the guy was all smiles and conversation. My partner wanted a beer and slice deal, we didn’t get the deal because he didn’t choose cheese or Pepperoni. Of course the worker didn’t let us know that. We will never go back because of how the service was. Good pizza tho.

Music is awful. They don’t accept cash. Sad when an owner doesn’t trust employees. Employees are what you expect for Ballard.
Pizza is good, I’d eat it again. That’s a high compliment given I’m from NY.
It’s a Ballard place and you will love it (or not) accordingly.

Walk right up, pizza lovers because this New York-style pizza joint is serving up slices bigger than your dreams and that’s saying something! Might seem big on the outside but the interior is cozy (read: snugger than a pair of skinny jeans after a pizza binge), fear not, my fellow aficionados. Picture this: a bustling interior and sidewalk scene, laughter spilling out onto the streets and a vibe so lively, it could rival Times Square on New Year’s Eve. So what if you have to squeeze in like a sardine? It’s all part of the authentic New York experience. And let’s not forget about the pizza, fresh, hot, perfectly thin and crispy, ever defiantly gooey cheese and toppings that practically melts in your mouth. So grab a slice, find a spot and prepare to indulge in a little slice of New York magic. So, if you’re craving a taste of NYC without the hassle of a subway ride, this place is your golden ticket. Five stars for bringing a slice of the city that never sleeps to our humble little corner of the world!

This place was once the truth. I used to grab pizza for lunch at this Fremont location regularly and cap hill location has always been on point. I called last week (Friday) and they said it would be a 2 hour wait. Decided to pass.Today (Monday) I order 2 large cheese gave me a 45 minute wait time… OK I’ll wait this time. Excited to dive in after the wait…. the product that was produced was shameful. They seem to be trying to save money as the cheese was nearly non-existent. I called them to mention my concern for their new methods and the kitchen manager said, “I’m not going to change things because of 1 person, and I don’t know what you expect me to do.” What ever these guys once had going has apparently died.
