Wife ordered fried shrimp and fries, perfectly cooked.
I ordered the Cajun Smoked Tuna Dip. If you go to Pensacola, YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS DIP!!!! Yeah it’s that good!
One girl ordered shrimp nachos and the other ordered chicken nachos. Nicole warned the nachos were large enough to feed 2-3 people each. She wasn’t kidding! We all shared and had half of both nachos and half Cajun dip left. Absolutely better believe the dip came back home!
Had a wonderful lunch and definitely make this a regular stop on our trips to Pensacola.
Thanks Nicole for the warm hospitality.
We expected a special day, as they had been promoting the opening on Face book.
No happy hour, no celebration, no people other than my wife and I.
We decided to live with it and just get a drink and an appetizer, they had one appetizer as a special, so we ordered that. 5 minutes later, we don’t have that appetizer.
We packed up and left. I hope they get it together, because it is a beautiful location, and has plenty of potential.
Perhaps we will give them another try next week.
The Salty Rose Beach Bar and Grill in Pensacola Beach offered a mixed bag on our visit. Here’s the breakdown:
Prime Location: After a long drive and a crowded post-Blue Angels scene, The Salty Rose’s convenience was a lifesaver. Located right by the Holiday Inn Express and offering open-air beachside seating, it was the perfect spot to unwind.
Live Entertainment: Bonus points for the live music and the entertaining fire dancer show on the beach! It added a fun atmosphere to the evening.
Service with a Smile: The service was great, especially considering it wasn’t very busy for a Saturday night.
Food: A Mixed Plate:
Burger Disappointment: The advertised “smash burger” was a miss. It wasn’t what we expected and the patty itself raised some questions. Would not recommend.Caesar Wrap Success: The Caesar wrap, on the other hand, was a winner.Drinks: The beer wasn’t very cold, which seemed to be a common theme in Pensacola Beach. However, my mixed drink from the menu was delicious!
Overall: The Salty Rose gets a 3.5-star rating. The location and entertainment are great, the service is friendly, and the drinks are good. However, the food was inconsistent, with the burger falling short. If you’re looking for a fun and lively atmosphere with a beautiful beach view, The Salty Rose is worth a visit. Just manage your expectations on the food, especially the burger.
The staff were so kind and made me feel like an old friend. The Salty Rose is my go to place at Pensacola Beach ⛱️.
