Had a very good experience yesterday. We ordered Mixed Biryani that covers shrimp, lamb, peas, and chicken. Also, Bhuna Chicken Chili Masala was ordered by us. All the food was tasty. The quantity of meat in the items was really great and more than enough. Complimentary Naan with Masala Sauce and Kheer were served to us. A big thanks to them. I would like to just mention one thing. We had a little bit of difficulty in finding this place. Later found out that it is just at the Neil Street road side. The signboard of the restaurant name could have been bigger and more visible so that people can easily notice that.

Went here from the hospital on my lunch break. The food was very tasty! We had aloo tikki chaat to start, chicken biryani for a main and pista kulfi to finish. Also had some masala tea with the naan basket they provided (lovely surprise). The food felt like I was eating in someone’s home, very comforting. Everything tasted fresh. The restaurant was very clean and it had a nice, calm atmosphere. Service was excellent and everything was very affordable. We will be back for sure. 🙂
Edit: Went for dinner and wish I didn’t. The staff working in the evening make quite a difference. The woman working there was rude to my partner who ordered and tried to correct her order (with incorrect information to top it off). She brought the wrong order out, insisted it was correct, and then later brought out the correct order but we were left sitting there for quite some time. There were only 2 other tables occupied and it was well before closing. We paid in cash and were told we couldn’t have a receipt, and didn’t receive our change.

My partner and I stopped in today for a late lunch. The restaurant is smaller but very pretty inside. Neither of us have ever had Indian food before and so the waiter gave us suggestions. For an appetizer we had the Samosas which is a pastry stuffed with potatoes and peas then deep fried. It is served with 2 dipping sauces. The light color sauce was too spicy for me but I LOVED the dark sauce. I don’t remember the name of it but it reminded me a little of bbq sauce with some apple sauce mixed in. I know that’s not what it is (I asked, LOL) it just had that flavor profile to me. We then had the Chicken Tikka Masala which is chunks of chicken breast roasted and served in a creamy tomato sauce, served with a flat bread. I LOVED that dish! Close to campus and down town Champaign, I recommend trying Masala Indian House for lunch or dinner! You can do take out as well.

We got: samosa chaat, lamb curry, tandoori malai chicken with naan and rice. We were given complimentary daal.
In general, the food was decent but not amazing. The only issue was that they seemed to hold back on the spice.
Their naan was really good, though!

So great! The naan sampler as an unexpected appetizer was great. The samosa chaat is the best I’ve ever had. The malai kafta is perfect.

Nice environment, services, and food. We ordered spicy lamb masala, butter chicken, and mango lassi! The meat are tender and savory, but I hope the masala can be more flavorful. Will come back again

Good food, quick service, comfy atmosphere.
We went in for a very late lunch so it was nearly empty, but the dining room was nice and felt comfortable. We had the $25 lunch for two special and loved it. Serving sizes were big enough to have leftovers to take home.
While I’m not an expert on “authentic” Indian food, it was delicious and hot and felt like eating home cooking.
My only complaint would be that it was very quiet, but I’m sure that was just because we came in at such an odd time.
Will definitely be returning with friends again!

This place was absolutely awesome. I had never had Indian food before and trying the dishes here was good enough to make me a fan of Indian food. We tried a variety of dishes and the samosas and garlic Nan were great. I got the mixed grill that came with chicken tika masala kabobs and lamb with a yellow curry. It was great. I would say that since they were a new restaurant the atmosphere was a little lacking no music was playing at the time we went. Other than that the restaurant was clean and there was plenty of seating. The service was excellent and they were very attentive. Would definitely recommend this place if you like authentic Indian food

I’ve been here for lunch before and it was a better experience than dinner. I’ll only be going for lunch and checking which staff is there. The food is already not authentic so being told that my order doesn’t go together was annoying. After waiting what seemed longer than usual my food arrived wrong and had to wait about 10 minutes for the lady to come back to tell her, and she was adamant that it was correct. She finally realized it was incorrect and took it back. She left part of the food that had already been sitting there, so we had to share from a small bowl because the food would get cold if we waited to start eating for the rest of the meal to come back correct. No discount or checking in to see if we were comfortable. I paid with cash and wasn’t given my change or a receipt. I was told because it was cash I couldn’t be given a receipt. I was very disappointed and kept apologizing to my guest because I had originally mentioned how great it was during lunch. Dinner time is not the time to go. Mind you there were only 2 other tables and one had already been eating before we got there.

We dined in and the food was exceptionally well spiced, delicious and aesthetically pleasing. Great service and a very pleasant owner. The server was friendly and efficient. An obvious go to for local takeaway or take out options because there was so much traffic in and out for pick up.
