Came in for a late breakfast. We are from out of town so no one knew us, but the service was quick and friendly. Eggs and bacon for me, with a side of biscuits and gravy. Wife got a benedict. Both were fabulous. Super reasonable pricing! Thrilled to find this little gem and we will return!!

Small town eatery with a small town feel. Great breakfast options. The home fries were fantastic and so was the bacon. Also, the prices were extremely reasonable. With tip I paid less than $15 for my meal. If you are looking for breakfast this is the place.

Not a very diverse menu but what they had was very good we had tenderloins. Onion rings very good cheese balls very good they serve breakfast all day. Reasonably priced. Clean. Waitress was very nice and very efficient. Bathrooms were clean it’s right on the square in Chariton easy to find. We always like visiting Little Mom and Pop joints 🙂

Food here is always top notch. Service is bad. Wait times are bad, servers not very attentive. Today was worse than usual. The place was almost empty at 10 AM when my granddaughter and I arrived. We sat and the waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink–OJ and a soda. He then took drink orders for a group of 6 that came in right after we did. More people came in and he then went on moving table to table, never returning to us until an older lady at the table next to ours pointed in our direction and mentioned we were still waiting. By then the waiter had already taken not just the drink orders but also the FOOD orders at 4 other tables of people who came in after us! Which means even though we got there ahead of all of them, our food would wait until after theirs was cooked. Had it been only myself, I would have left. But it was my granddaughter’s 9th birthday and it was her request that I take her there to eat for her birthday. So we waited. We got our food an hour after ordering it–and that table of 6 that came in after us was already finished eating and gone before we got our food. Next time I go there I think I will wear a hat with big blinking lights on it so I’m harder to ignore.
