Happy to have this restaurant in Mt Airy where I can get actual Chinese food made by Chinese people! You can tell the authenticity by how homey the place is and the family members of the staff that come and go. This place is much cleaner than the last one. The lady at the desk was very helpful and gave some recommendations to make sure I got something worthwhile. Food came quick and was so delicious. They pack a lot of food in the containers! You can tell by the photos that there really is a lot in each container that gets squished down. It’s definitely good quantity and quality for the cost. You can select which sauces you want and how many.
If you want, you can sit in the restaurant or eat on the nice picnic table outside. Supporting local businesses means supporting local families, so I’m happy to go here as opposed to big chain fast food places. Will definitely come again.

I haven’t eaten here in over a year because after 3-4 visits I thought the food to be underwhelming when it opened. Today I decided to give them another shot, and boy was I sorry. Gummy, tasteless fried rice…orange chicken not spicy or sweet at all, just tasted like orange with a touch of alcohol, batter wasn’t crispy, and lots of little orange peel pieces you had to watch for as you ate. Hot & Sour Soup was neither. I won’t make another trip there.

First time customers. Wonton egg drop soup for two was generous and delicious. We both liked the eggs rools. We finished with Steamed Chicken with Mixed Vegetables from the diet menu. Fresh and tasty. We will be back!

The woman was so lovely. When I got there to pick up our order, she was making sure all of the packages were perfectly folded and orderly. The food was amazing, you could tell there was great attention to detail. It’s the only food all of the kids will eat until it is gone! We love this place ❤️

Moving to Mt. Airy from Germantown / Clarksburg MD, (and being Asian)… The Asian food choices has been very disappointing. We were hesitant to give Mt. Asian a try when ownership changed from Big Chef (which was horrible).
We were at first pleasantly surprised with the quality of food here at Mt. Asian. The food was cleanly presented and fresh. It was flavorful and not too greasy/salty. (We ordered House Chow Mai Fun, Sesame chicken and Kung Pao beef). The “Chinese” food here is definitely “American-Chinese” food but it WAS good at first .. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are good. However the quality greatly dropped off after a month.
We have gotten lo mein that was definitely spoiled. Food quality definitely dropped off over time unfortunately like most Chinese carryout opening recently

Good food. Was a big fan of the sesame chicken. The broccoli to chicken ratio was perfect.

Fair prices.
Piece of advice: if you do a pick up order and want duck sauce, ask for it. It will not automatically be put in.
One thing I’d love to see there: sesame tofu.
