We used to be very loyal regulars here and recommended this place constantly — especially for the pizza, which is still some of the best on the Seacoast. That crust is phenomenal and I still rave about it.
When Patrick was managing, the atmosphere was incredible. He genuinely connected with guests, let us try new beers on tap, and made the place feel welcoming and special. That leadership is what kept us coming back.
Unfortunately, since the management change, the experience has gone downhill.
The current manager is often outside chain-smoking on the front patio, throwing cigarette butts on the ground out front, and then walking straight back inside to serve tables without washing his hands. On one visit, he brought my food to the table reeking of cigarette smoke, which was incredibly unappetizing.
Service has become inconsistent. The only bartender who consistently delivers great service is Jade — she’s excellent and worth sitting at the bar for.
We also miss Thursday Bingo, which used to be a fun reason to make a special trip in.
This used to be one of our favorite spots. The food is still fantastic, but the leadership and overall experience need serious attention if they want to win back longtime regulars.

Our new local. “Pub” is a little misleading because the quality of the food is way better than what I think of as pub. The atmosphere is nicely darker and cozy like a pub, but also modern and window lit with views of the quiet Ponte Place going on. The part that is most pub-like starts with their slogan: “There are no strangers here, only friends that haven’t yet met”. When I first saw that I thought, cute idea but you can’t predict that. However, on my first time in, that’s exactly what happened. Fast friends and so many connections with people I had never met before. The wait staff act like family (the good kind) and everyone sitting at the bar was up-beat. It felt more like being at a dinner party than quietly staring at the TV. They do have TVs so that is an option if you’re not in the mood. The prices are good, better than what a lot of places are becoming. The drinks are generous. It definitely qualifies as our neighborhood pub.

We’ve been to SoDo three times now. Every time we were greeted by very friendly staff. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is excellent. The Asian-style lettuce wraps are very very good.
The chicken salad wrap was also very good. You must absolutely try the brownie sundae (it will take two people to finish it). It’s refreshing to go to a restaurant where it is very evident that the staff was well trained. It feels like you have known the bartender for years even though you just met him. This may have just become our new favorite go to!

We stopped by Sodo 45 tonight, at Pointe Place, to have a midweek treat and was warmly welcomed by the staff! The bartender and food were amazing. We had the southwest chicken wrap, cocktails, and bacon bourbon candied apple macaroni and cheese (which is my new favorite!). Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere with great conversation and great food! Best french fries in Dover!

I used to love SoDo, the vibes were so fun. Bingo night was fun. Meeting other locals and creating relationships with the staff was amazing. Lately it hasn’t been the same. The new manager has an ego and it doesn’t look pretty on him. He doesn’t appreciate the staff, there’s nothing fun going on anymore and running out of alcohol in a bar is crazy but a new trend at sodo which is disappointing. jd and kaylie are always so kind and make the experience so worth it. It also weirdly smells of cigarettes and the vibes are always just off lately. Simply not the same and hope for a change as it was such a fun bar to go to

Stopped in for a 2nd visit during happy hour. The cocktail ordered was on point and the wings and pretzel were delicious. Decent selection of beers and excellent service!

We received a gift-card and we finally used it last night for pick-up. I was welcomed with genuine kindness as soon as I walked in, even though it looked like just one person managing a room of patrons! I was in and out quickly with my pick-up and it was delicious. We got potato skins and margherita pizza (with a few added toppings) Was great! Will go again.

SoDo popped up on our google search while looking for takeout for the evening, decided to give them a shot. I got the Margherita pizza, my partner got the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. Both were delicious! Very happy with the choice, looking forward to coming back to try more things.

Went here for the first time for my daughter’s birthday. We all loved it. The food was great, the atmosphere was very laid back, and the service was exceptional. We’ll definitely be back!

For a Saturday night at a pub that’s barely busy, two on the front end should be sufficient. Unbelievably slow service, the bartender clearly cares more about getting out on time than service or tips and I always tip generously, but not this time. I was there for over an hour and only ordered a single cider (that wasn’t very good at all) and poutine. Poutine isn’t hard to make let alone make well. The menu claims that the gravy is wine base, no no it’s not. It tasted like gravy from a can and the potatoes (fries) were from a frozen bag. They even managed to burn them. So the overall the food was incredibly bland. No wonder I have heard of SoDo because with that type of service and lackluster food, who would be talking about this place. I won’t be back.
