Founded in 2005 as a simple neighborhood food truck in the Washington Heights/Inwood sector of Manhattan. Patacon Pisao now serves the most authentic and critically acclaimed Venezuelan cuisine in New York City. We are best known for our use of plantains aka the Patacon. Others who try to look like us attempt to imitate our artful creation of the classic, but there is only one. Our generation-old family recipes represent the traditional flavors found in restaurants and street vendors in Venezuela. Our casual atmosphere, generous portions, and affordable prices bring people from all parts of the world to our doors.

I never order anything without adding some sides of tequeños. If you like mozzarella sticks, you’ll love this soft cheese filled stick.
A contender for a last meal if it ever comes to it
The Tamarindo and Chinola drinks were also perfect for the hot weather.
Will definitely be coming back!
They even have vegetarian options. We enjoyed the food (patacon was a little dry), the staff were polite and we received our food within 10min.
Cash only!
Tucked down a random street on the east side of Inwood this little food truck dishes out a mean patacon with all the trimmings.
I had the Patacon Burger and Tequeños, which I’d recommend to anyone who goes here.
