Placed a mobile order for the $6.99 Subway promotion at the Covington Walmart location. Order was accepted, then later cancelled. When I asked why, the sandwich artist politely explained that the owner chose not to participate in the promotion and has been cancelling promotional orders all day.
The issue is that customers are still able to place and pay for these orders, and the debit card reversals can take several days to process. That is not acceptable and creates unnecessary financial inconvenience for customers.
If a franchise does not want to honor a national Subway promotion, it should not allow those orders to be placed or charged. This feels misleading at best and potentially noncompliant with franchise rules.
Very disappointing experience and poorly handled and likely illegal.

They make the worst sandwiches. Subway has its way of making sandwiches, that’s why they are famous, but these people do the opposite. The meat is supposed to be heated separately, why else would it stay cold? And so I had a sandwich with cold chicken and soggy bread.
And staff are not very friendly.

Simply Terrible… I mobile ordered a footling BLT on the subway app using a 30% off offer and PAID. I came to pick up the order and they told me they canceled the order because they don’t accept discounted orders.
What a terrible business practice.
I will never eat at this location again.

I called to ask if they accepted coupons and they said no witch wasn’t a problem but when I asked for the owner and talked to him over the phone I had asked him why the prices of the food long cookies churro and pretzel was so high and I was met with pure attitude and I was told “ if you don’t like the price then don’t buy it “ witch I understand but when I constantly see advertisements for specific prices and I come to my local subway and there 2$ more then they should be I’m gonna ask why. I would never recommend this location they skimp every item they put on your sandwich and all of the staff have a major attitude problem

Walked in, ordered lunch for.myself and my family. Got up to the register, went to pay for our food, and only AFTER trying and re-trying to run my debit card did the employee inform me the card reader was broken (none of the buttons worked, and had NOT worked for a while) and she then asked me if I had another card to use, or cash. To which I replied “no” and asked what we were going to do. The store employee didn’t have anything to say other than “I don’t know, you can try using the ATM, people usually bring cash” there are no signs informing people the card reader does not work, and employees don’t inform customers until they are at the register trying to use their debit cards. We watched multiple customers go through the same situation we did. In the SAME VISIT we watched store employees EMBARRASS a young man trying to pay for his food with cash by openly holding his twenty dollar bill up to the light multiple times (with other customers watching what was going on), and ask the young man multiple questions about the bill and openly compare it to other bills in the till. Basically treating him like a criminal with no reason to do so. Store employees need training (obviously), store equipment needs to be fixed/replaced, and CUSTOMER SERVICE needs to be more important. We will NOT be returning to this Safeway, and we WILL be sure to let everyone know what our experience was at this store. Sad excuse for a customer service establishment.

Very rude and refuses to honor subway coupons. As I was asking another person who was making sandwich touched their head and kept making the customers sandwich but the customer said never mind and left. I can’t believe the lack of hygiene.

I’m regular shopper at Walmart in Covington. I usually come to the subway with my 3 little boys and I never had a problem with them before, until today.
Ms. Arminda was nasty and rude I dint want to lose my cool in front of my children but she was completely unprofessional and out of line.

Ok location. Nothing to write home about. Their food and staff were just ok. The location is kinda meh just because it’s inside of a Walmart and they never feel as nice as a stand alone store.
