from start to finish this was hands down one of the best experiences i’ve had eating at a local grill. this quaint spot had excellent customer service, my server brian was very attentive and caring, food was brought out in a timely manner. food quality and presentation was great, soup of the day (broccoli cheddar) was great. i ordered the ‘hangover burger’ and tasted amazing. lastly got the tiramisu which was also good! the place was clean and environment made me feel at home. i’ve always drove past and never thought to eat here but will definitely be coming back for more!

It’s not very often that I’m wowed by a restaurant. But, this time I was. I had heard mixed reviews about the Abingdon Grill and I’m not even going to go into that because all of the negative comments I heard were clearly absolutely false. The restaurant is extremely clean, the carpet looked brand new, all of the tables and seats looked to be extremely well taken care of if not new themselves. It had a very homey vibe to the decor. The food was absolutely amazing. It was very clear that the food was made to order and made in house. I attached some pics of the food we got, I decided to go with the prime rib (I’m not a huge beef guy but I had a hankering for some beef) this prime rib blew my socks off. It was extremely tender, juicy and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were also good, good seasoning and perfect texture (in my opinion) not chunky or lumpy. The green beans were good but I would love to see them add some more flavor to them (maybe some citrus). My other half ordered the meatball sub with French fries and French onion soup (French onion soup not pictured) she said that the meatballs on the sub were very flavorful and seasoned well. The fries were OUT OF THIS WORLD. I’m not sure how they make these fries or how they prepare them but they were perfectly crispy and fluffy inside. She also noted that the French onion soup was some of the best she had ever had (that’s big statement from her as she has been to culinary school and absolutely loves French onion soup). Overall, I am extremely pleased with this restaurant and it will definitely be in our rotation of favorite restaurants. If you’re on the fence about this restaurant, just give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. The food and atmosphere are wonderful.

We were lucky enough to stumble across this restaurant on a drive from NJ to VA and now we make sure to stop every time. The food is great, but the highlight is the amazing staff and service, and the kids goody bags that the owner puts together. They’re seasonal and have coloring books, stickers, and other toys to keep our toddler entertained through lunch! So thoughtful. Highly recommend!!

I live in the area and want to support local businesses. After hearing good reviews about the Abingdon Grill my wife and I decided to give them a try. First item we tried was the French onion soup. We rated it a 9 out of 10. It was very good. The broth was rich and flavorful. The onions were soft and caramelized. There was lots of cheese melted over the bowl. The only thing was the cheese tasted like provolone which is ok but gruyere is used for the best French onion soup. Next was the French Dip. We give it a 5 out of 10. The cut of beef was a little tough and chewy. The roll was just average sub roll bread and provolone cheese. If you want a really great French Dip try Barrets on the pike in Belair. The French fries were very good. A good crunchy texture and flavor. Not bland like many other restaurants. We tried the short rib egg rolls. They were good and flavorful. The meatballs were also good. Unfortunately I recently got the crabcake. What a mess this was. The center was a mushy mixture. The outside had lumps pressed on the middle mixture. The bottom was burnt but the middle was almost cool. Overall a large portion but lacking in flavor and not as good as pappas or others in the area. Also bland tartar sauce and no old bay to sprinkle on. My vegetable medley disappointed me with too many chunks of broccoli stalks without the florets. Also bland tasting. Last thing we tried was the tiramisu. Not bad but a little dry. Good tiramisu has a moist bottom soaked in a coffee espresso type sauce. This place reminds me of a dinner that has too many menu items to keep the quality of each one at a higher standard.

Hidden eatery treasure in Harford County. Excellent food, which can be cooked to order, by an awesome chef and kitchen staff. Prices are great and service always pleasant. We’ve been coming here since we moved from Jersey. The specials are amazing, such as the pictured shrimp cheese steak sandwich. Very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fries are also unique in both flavoring and texture. Homemade flavoring. Drink specials and happy hour are excellent as well. The Bloody Mary’s, Abingdon Ale and Josh wines are great pairings to any meal. The cheese cakes are delicious and brought in from New York City. Great place to hold a small event dinner or lunch as the manager will go above and beyond.

In recent months Abingdon Grill has become a favorite for me. The food is great. The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Donna at the bar has been great! She provides great service and attention to her customers. Her colleagues are also great, and the entire staff work well together.

Came here for my buddy’s baby shower. Believe the gentleman taking care of the party was named John? Gentleman with great hair and great beard. Also legitimately some of the all time best front of house catering service I’ve ever received. Extremely helpful, extremely friendly, extremely quick. The dude kills it at his job.

We’ve been to Abingdon Grill a few times but never experienced anything like we experienced this evening. To make a long story short my wife and I along with our two grandchildren waited over an hour and 15 minutes for our order which never came. The waitress at first stated they were extremely busy and that our food should be our soon… then 10 minutes later she came back and said that our order was never entered because she never released a ‘hold button’ on our food (?)… (no, I’ve never heard of this either..) she said they would start on our order ‘right away’, but we declined at this point. needless to say we won’t be going back!

Service was exceptional, and there wasn’t a wait for our food once ordered. We had a quiet lunch, which included mussels in the garlic wine sauce, prime rib, kids’ chicken tenders, and the flat iron. The mussels were a great start! Sauce was amazing! The flat iron was cooked exactly as requested. The side of the mushrooms were flavorful and rich. They gave our daughter a kid packet that included coloring activity, stickers, pop it, and mini squishy, this is beyond what any other restaurants provide. The prime rib wasn’t the star for my hubby. He felt the mussels were more on point.
