5 stars across the board. The food was absolutely amazing. Had the surf & turf, the lobster tail had an amazing Caribbean sauce that was absolutely delicious, the steak was like butter.. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the food they had and different types of shrimp & crab. The raw bar had local oysters & the biggest shrimp I’ve ever seen. It’s a small place, but very much worth the money.

If you like high-quality seafood in a phenomenally intimate setting, you cannot beat KC’s Oyster Shack. Literally everything I’ve ever had here is amazing. The oysters & shrimp are chefs kiss. Super cool environment, they only seat 14-15 people at 4 settings each night, so they can preserve the atmosphere & quality.

Wow! What a great and unique restaurant. We had an amazing dinner and the best part is that you have oysters and shrimp waiting for you on the ice bar when you arrive. Nothing better than an appetizer waiting for you! Pair that with the good wine (we had a bottle of Prisoner) and it was the perfect dinner.

You want fresh and not fried seafood- this IS the spot! Must sign up for hour time blocks to dine, was easy to do so. I wish they had more sides to complement the awesome seafood. Oysters Rockefeller, crab cake, jumbo shrimp all delicious and THE BEST Cocktail Sauce I’ve ever had; please sell it! Make sure to get the wild rice too!
You sit close to everyone dining and the servers behind the bar and the kitchen; which creates natural conversation; was refreshing! A must stop in Port A!

Truly the best kept secret in Port A – would give it 6 stars if google would let me. The setting and ambience is unlike anything else on the island. The food is 10/10 every time we go. Definitely recommend the snow crab claws, gumbo and king crab if you’re feeling fancy. There’s a wrap-around ice bar where they serve fresh oysters.
The vibe is laid back and casual but the service and quality of the entire experience is spot on. Pretty soon people will be saying – “did you even go to Port A if you didn’t go to KC’s?”

We went here for the first time tonight for dinner. This place is an absolutely winner! Great oysters, enormous shrimp, tried the lobster bites, which were good, but also tried the crab cakes, which were amazing! It will definitely be one of our go to spots on the island! It’s a unique dining experience.

First time here at the restaurant. I came with my fiancé and son.(we are from San Antonio) when we first walked in we were greeted by everyone like we are local. OMG.. RUN DONT WALK to this place. The food was amazing. The best part about this place was our server, ❗️kestlynde ❗️was absolutely AMAZING. She was busy but made sure to talk to everyone in the restaurant. She even gave me a little cup of the clam broth to go because I loved it so much . She seems to really love her job and the people around her which is refreshing. I give this place a 1000/10 🙂
Thank yall so much for the amazing food and service we will be back soon

WOW! This establishment truly blew my mind and was the highlight of my stay in port aransas. If you like seafood… INCREDIBLY FRESH, HIGH-QUALITY, SCRUMPTIOUS SEAFOOD… you MUST check out this restaurant.
The first thing you will need to do is go to the restaurant and add your name to the sign-up list. I highly recommend going as early as 3 PM to do this. There are only 15 seats around the square bar and it is first come, first serve. Due to their popularity and high caliber of their seafood and the great dining atmosphere, there could be a long wait!
Owners Kimber & Chad (K & C) know what they are doing! I am highly impressed with their attention to detail and tremendous hospitality!! (I had met Kimber the morning of my evening dinner and was hooked from the get-go after meeting her! She is truly a sweetheart! The entire rest of my day, I absolutely could not wait to go back for dinner… and it did not disappoint!!)
I loved the ginormous cold – peel it- yourself shrimp as well as the tasty and incredibly fresh oysters that are set before you on the bar over ice. They have an ingenious way of calculating the total number of shrimp and oysters you eat while you are perusing the menu and waiting on your food to arrive.
I ordered the grilled lobster tail, grilled scallops, and steamed little neck clams and loved them all equally! (see pics).
Be sure to save room for dessert… which is a difficult task with all the amazing options they feature on the menu and specials board.
The dessert you must try is called “I DARE YOU TO TRY IT”. and that is exactly what they did when I questioned it…. after all it is vanilla ice cream topped with olive oil, white chocolate AND CAVIAR!!! Yes, I know you are thinking and I thought the same thing…. but trust me! Kimber and Chad know exactly what they’re doing and I could not get enough of it!! It was big enough for all three of us to share.
I am a four hour – one way – car drive from this restaurant and would not hesitate to drive down to port aransas and back in the same day just to eat there again!
THANK YOU KIMBER & CHAD for such an amazing experience! I will definitely be back!

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! The food is delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere laidback and fun. They keep the dinners to an hour, and each dinner slot is limited to 14 people. Pop by earlier in the day to sign up for the slot you want. You’re going to get a great meal, quickly, without fuss.
The women managing the food area/bar were friendly, charming, and efficient, and the chefs did a bang up job cooking our food. The bar is full of oysters and giant shrimp ready for the feasting, and they keep them coming. I had the snow crab (incredible) and my husband had the quail and tail (divine).
We will be coming here every visit to the island from now on!

It is a very small quaint restaurant and had only been opened a week, they place oysters on the ice on a trough around the dining bar and you eat as many as you want and stack the shells and they count how many shells you’ve had. Two of us had the ceviche too and it was excellent!
