Our story began in 2008 inside a 160sq ft drive – thru in Beaverton, Oregon. Founded by family, rooted in hospitality, and driven by a desire to bring light to the grey PNW mornings, we set out to build something simple but meaningful – a place where coffee could fuel connection.

I don’t know what it is about Black rock and when you ask for light ice they feel the need to fill the cup with more ice than usual! And we ordered two medium Carmel blondies and were charged extra for what? Didn’t get a receipt either! Our order should have been 14 with tax. When you’re paying 7.50 for a cup of coffee it shouldn’t be filled more than halfway of ice!

It’s fine. I got a coffee here before watching a movie at Harkins. Quiet and empty on a summer day. Queen Creek teenagers sipping on sugar drinks. Dad with a buzz cut and a button up tucked into belted slacks checking me out. Still got it.

Wow, this place is amazing. These bacon breakfast sandwiches are so good. I had two of them this morning. Quinton Aka (Q) is an amazing barista. Also Bella is also verry nice and has great customer service. I highly recommend this black rock for a quick bite and a great cup of Joe!

Black Rock has finally made it to Queen Creek! I know a ton of people that are super Siked for this location opening. Black Rock coffee is one of the best chains around for beverages and sweets! I think it is better than Starbucks!! Yes I said it! No hard feeling if that’s your place! The people are awesome as usual. The blueberry muffins are tasty. The furniture is similar to other locations, a mix of wood and industrial metal. Go check them out and let them know we sent you. Don’t drink coffee don’t worry they offer all sorts of good things.

I bought a sausage sandwich from them this morning and I literally cannot bite into it. The top of the biscuit is so stale and hard, you can chip a tooth. I tried to call but the recoding says to go to the website and email. Naw. Y’all need to see this too.

I ordered the Carmel blondie chiller. It was delicious. I was afraid that it would taste icy but it was very creamy. Service was good. The place is decent to sit down and drink your coffee but basic. There were bees by the door. There may be a hive nearby.

I order from here almost everyday. Same drink, a Breve with extras (coconut flavor and a little sugar). I’ve asked them why sometimes I cannot taste any coconut flavor at all, like they forgot it. And sometimes it has amazing coconut flavor, as I ordered. I asked if I needed to order it a different way to get consistency and was told sometimes the person making the coffee just does it differently. I’m paying extra for those extras and I always tip. Almost $9 for a coffee. Can you please just make sure you put the extras in every time? The lines are way too long to go back and ask for more.

On November 29th, I purchased a smoothie from Black Rock. However, I had a highly distressing experience with the drink. I found white plastic in my cup, which I had mistaken for ice. I have experienced dental issues in the past, and this incident led to my tooth cracking again. After finding more plastic in my drink, I attempted to reach out to the store by phone, but no one was available. I immediately sent an email and even visited another Black Rock location to report the issue. However, when I visited the store where I made the purchase, they were unwilling to provide me with a contact number for a manager or HR representative. Instead, they instructed me to send an email. Despite my efforts, I have not heard back from Black Rock. The experience was unacceptable, and I am deeply concerned about how plastic could have made its way into my drink. I expect a prompt response and resolution to this issue.
