Food came out really fast even for a Mexican restaurant. I enjoyed the two types of dip that came with the complementary chips.

I ultimately did end up finding the El Paso Mexican restaurant that I wanted to try out; it’s connected to the inside of the Best Western hotel lobby.
Not sure if I’m just looking for the wrong thing at the wrong place, but I figured carne asada tacos on corn tortillas with onion and cilantro was a menu staple at all Mexican restaurants. That is not the case here; onion and cilantro costs *extra*. Bizarre concept to me, but that’s what we wanted.
The food was good and table service was acceptable enough, but the price point…well, personally I just can’t justify coming back here to get tacos for two for $50+. Take me at my word on this one and just look elsewhere.

Lissen! I know you might think differently about a location inside a hotel but 100% this is the best – 1 El Paso location and 2 – Mexican in Hendersonville. We frequently spend our Thursdays family work lunch here and love it every time. Y’all come and find out for yourselves!

We were in town for a lil family vacation. I had seen El Paso on a recommendation. The food was delicious and our server was extremely nice and attentive. If you’re in the area I would recommend El Paso. We came in later but they were quite busy when we were checking in.

This El Paso is located in the Best Western in Hendersonville. Very convenient if you’re staying in the hotel. The menu is huge. The service was excellent, starting with a very tasty half pitcher of Cadillac margaritas. The pablano peppers stuffed with cheese were very good. The chicken enchiladas were also very good. The dinners are topped with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream; not sure about putting cold salad fixins atop a hot dinner. Pico de Gallo would be preferred, on the side. The rice and beans were good. Will definitely return as it was a very good experience overall.

I’m staying at the best Western Hendersonville Inn tonight, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. After I checked in the gentleman behind the counter kindly suggested I could have dinner at the El Paso Mexican restaurant which is right there off the lobby. He assured me it was really good. Man oh man, he wasn’t kidding. I’ve spent quite a good amount of time in Central America, and I believe I do know what authentic Latin American food is. (And it’s certainly NOT Taco Bell! ) The El Paso restaurant must be one of the gems of Hendersonville. The staff were helpful and friendly, and after being seated I was provided with complimentary nachos and two tasty dips. I was immediately impressed with the huge variety in the menu, and recognized many of my favorite Mexican and Guatemalan dishes. I ordered the TACOS DE ALAMBRE – Three soft shell tortillas filled with grilled beef steak, ham, jalapeños, bacon, pineapple and cheese, with pico de gallo. It was served promptly hot off the grill, and was absolutely 100% delicious. After washing that down with a Heineken 0.0% beer (THE best non-alcoholic beer on the planet, IMHO ), I figured I might as well go all in, and ordered the strawberry chimi with ice cream for dessert. That hit my sweet tooth and finished me off. As you will see on the menu photos, they have a dish for every taste, including vegan dishes. The full bar can serve your fav tequila, cuba libré or piña colada. I was told by the waitress that this is one of two El Paso restaurants here in the area, under the same owner. All I can say is that this restaurant deserves five stars in my book of authentic Mexican dining. When you see local Latin Americans eating at a Mexican restaurant in the USA, you know you can’t go wrong. If you’re passing through Hendersonville, NC and are looking for a lunch or dinner spot, give this place a try. I can practically guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Hats off to all the staff at El Paso who make it happen, salud!

This place likes to cut corners.. the beef in the burrito was similar to the meat in a jack in the box taco and wasn’t warm. The pozole was full of filler pork fat which left very little actual pork and hominy. The flan was the highlight. Will not be coming back.

FOOD POISONING X2… Appreciated the generous portions and prices… but overnight several hrs of painful FOOD POISONING! It started with indigestion. I had to prop up pillows to sleep. Then I couldn’t eat breakfast. At 8am I realized I couldn’t leave my hotel for the day. Ruined plans. Intestines felt like acid. I got dehydrated. Worst food poisoning in 20 yrs! Tossed box of leftovers.
Recently I spoke to a friend from Hendersonville. He said he also got food poisoning from this same ElPaso location #2 in the past. He said, “I’ll never eat there again. I thought I was going to ☠!” RUN or runs? That is the question.
EDIT: Incident occured Nov 2024. As of Aug 2025, no apology or response offered. Shocking.

DELICIOUS! We had our windows down while driving and could smell the food which spurred us to stop. We had fajitas that were mouth wateringly scrumptious and the wait for food was short. Our waitress was very sweet and all smiles. They offer kid meals for $3.99 which we utilized. It was a great experience!
