Since Ricardo’s Mexican Restaurant first opened its doors in 1992 in its original Perry, Utah location, it has been a constant in my life. Long before it became a Brigham City staple, Ricardo’s established itself as more than just a place to eat, it became a gathering point for the community. Watching it grow from those early days into the beloved institution it is today has been genuinely special.
What Richard and Miriam accomplished in a small town like Brigham City is nothing short of remarkable. From the moment you step inside, there is an immediate sense that you have entered a space rooted in warmth, tradition, and genuine hospitality. It feels like a transition to a place where everyone is welcomed, valued, and treated like family, regardless of whether it is your first visit or your hundredth.
Ricardo’s is the kind of restaurant where people come together. Families celebrate milestones, friends reconnect over shared plates, coworkers unwind after long days, and strangers often leave as acquaintances. There is an authenticity to the atmosphere that cannot be manufactured; it is built through years of consistency, care, and an unwavering commitment to the people who walk through the door.
The food itself reflects that same dedication. Every dish is made fresh daily, with flavors that are bold, comforting, and unmistakably familiar in the best way. Ricardo’s does not chase trends; instead, it delivers dependable, high-quality Mexican cuisine that keeps people coming back year after year. It is a place where memories are made, traditions are passed down, and good food serves as the backdrop for celebrating life.

I stopped by Ricardo’s a couple weeks ago with some friends, and it reminded me why I’ve loved this place since I was a kid. The back was packed because they were doing a photo shoot for the new menu, but even with all the busyness the staff took great care of us. We even got to chat with the owner, Will, who shared some exciting updates coming to the menu and website. The food was excellent (like always), and it’s one of those spots that never lets you down. Ricardo’s feels like home — good food, good people, and a place I’m always proud to bring my friends.

Very disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, there was confusion—there was no sign explaining how to be seated, and no employee greeted us or acknowledged us in any way. We waited over 10 minutes just to get menus, then another 10–15 minutes before we even received water and were able to place our order.
Once we finally ordered, it took a full hour for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the wait. The fajitas were mostly onions (about 50%), some peppers (30%), and very little meat (maybe 20%), much of which was fatty. Overall, the food quality was poor and not enjoyable.
To make matters worse, the prices were insanely expensive for the service and food quality we received. This was easily one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve had, and I would not recommend this restaurant based on our visit.

Was able to get help by going to their Facebook page and messaging them that way and it seems to have gotten me a much faster response. Hopefully to try another time when we are just able to dine in. (Messaged around 2:15pm had someone responding in 30 minutes)
We ordered from their online page and awaiting to pick up till the time it gave us. When my husband got there to pick up our order he was told the wait would be a minute. They failed to mention they had just printed our ticket to be started. (40 min after the order was placed and paid for!) Then another 20 min go by and they proceed to tell him it’ll be even longer. I called to ask why they said it was a website probably nothing they could do… But now it’s well past an hr and he is still waiting for our pick up order.. hopefully I actually get to enjoy it warm since I was supposed to be able to eat well before having to handle bedtime with my children. Thanks
Got our food. Got it home for it to be wrong… Yay. Called for solution. They refused to fix problem. Manager will not come to the phone making crew member deal with your issues that only managers should handle. Very unprofessional!
Next day 2pm manager is somehow magically on and 1 1/2hr break? Has yet to call me back as stated that she would as well. Completely unprofessional.

We got takeout from Ricardo’s tonight for the first time. I wish we would have been to this place sooner. This is going to be a family favorite I am sure of it. My chimichanga was perfect and my wife loved her cheese enchiladas. I ordered inside and the staff was very kind and courteous and got me my order quickly even though I could tell the place was slammed. We will definitely be back. I am excited to dine in and try it there. I’m sure it will be even better. The price seemed reasonable and the portion sizes were generous.

I love Ricardo’s food. They are so insanely good. The red sauce, chicken/pork enchiladas Are the best item on the menu. The owners are just fabulous people, We went on a very busy night and sometimes it takes a little longer to get food, But it is totally worth the weight. Don’t let that deter you in anyway go through and support these guys. They do an amazing job.
Also, I really loved that chili Verde steak burrito They got me.

What a wonderfully quaint little restaurant. Beautifully and authentically decorated. The service was kind and prompt and the atmosphere was warm and pleasant. They have a good selection of Mexican dishes that are made to order. This means that the food takes a little longer to get to your table but it’s hot and fresh. I’ve eaten at others that keep the food on warmers, sure it’s faster if you like dried out old beans and tortilla shells that taste like cardboard. This place is way better then that. I had the enchilada plate with an Apple Beer to drink. It was a delight. If you want real authentic and delicious Mexican dishes then Ricardo’s has it down.

We came here for lunch, was greeted immediately, you find a place to sit. Atmosphere is kinda like you are sitting in front of shops, cute. I ordered the combination plate, came with a taco(this was great), cheese enchilada (this was really good), meat enchilada (was not great outside was hard), tamale (had a good flavor but outter tamale was dry) rice,( I did not care for the rice. It was hard with not a lot of flavor) refied beans were good. Overall I would come back the tacos had a home made shell, loved this, next time the taco plate. Salsa was incredible, would come back for the salsa. Waitress was awesome, kept coming and checking on us.
