The concept of this establishment is awesome. I personally just don’t feel that it’s executed very well. The food tasted good so props to the chef but was room temp-cool and those of us that ordered steak all received different cuts. They were supposed to be New York strip but two were served without bone and one with bone. They also only gave us butter knives which made it very difficult being that the meat was pretty tough. The prices were very high for the quality (cuts of meat) of food. As far as service, our waitress was very sweet but we waited very long (over an hour for food) in between visits initially. Also, for a Saturday night it was very subdued. Maybe music in the courtyard area and please turn those heaters on when it’s 25° out. With some changes this place could be great!

We’ve eaten here twice—once for brunch and tonight for dinner (10/24/25). Both times the food has been delicious. Tonight we shared a shrimp appetizer; and had 3 entrees—ribeye steak; salmon; and jerk chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy, and the flavors were great. Mashed potatoes and broccoli sides were really good. Red velvet cake for dessert was quite nice and the coffee was good. The owner was friendly and attentive. This restaurant has an attractive, comfortable, unique space that includes private rooms, in addition to the main restaurant, surrounding an outside courtyard. When you go, just be aware that although the address is Falls Road, the entrance to the courtyard (which you cross to get to the restaurant) is on 40th St. We will be back!

Dont get the private room! They are $100. extra and not one of the 3 men we talked to told us. The woman checking us out sprung it on us . Service was slow, they kept us there waiting. The room was heated with a TV but not worth $100. extra with slow service and a limited menue. I wish black owned business would stop trying to get over on the people supporting them. Be upfront, if the room is an additional $100. say it. Allow your customer to decide. Its sad, a good concept but I won’t go back.

We celebrated our son’s 13 birthday here with family and friends. The setting was perfect and with easy street parking – the space itself was welcoming, clean, and great for a private party. Between the fabulous family style table and tv, we controlled our music and vibe and were able to play games in a way your average restaurant just can’t accommodate. Due to circumstances out of the control, the staff was forced to pivot on their regular menu, but still managed to provide us with a terrific experience. We so appreciate their generous hospitality and look forward to coming back soon! Highly recommend!

I heard that the smash burgers were great. That is an understatement. They simply exploded with flavor. I don’t know if it was a special blend of spices or the way the meat was cooked but … damn it was good. My wife devoured the sweet potato fries before I could get any but she tells me they were very good. I also ordered the buffalo wings which had something special about them. Parmesan or a special sauce, perhaps? My wife, who won’t eat wings, ate two of them. That’s all I would let her have.

A special treat was meeting the owner. He (and all the staff) was especially friendly and attentive to our needs. After talking to him briefly, he served us a beautifully presented plate of olives, hummus, cucumbers, peppers, and pita bread. The hummus was actually light, almost fluffy. It was far better than the thick pasty hummus from a grocery store.
Obviously, I was absolutely delighted with our evening. I highly recommend the Brick Bistro. We arrived late evening so it was quiet which is the way I like it but there were plenty of customers eating in secluded glassed-in rooms. An interesting concept.

Wow. What a meal. The food was unbelievable. So much flavor. My husband got eggs Benedict and said they were perfect. He wouldn’t change a thing. I had the chicken sandwich. It is unforgettable. The entrance is the glass doors. Enjoy. Must go if in Baltimore area.

Atmosphere was great. Food was good. Just would like more clarification on the room rates. Been multiple times but it seems like the rates aren’t fixed.. hearing it’s $100 .. one time they didn’t charge at all.. another time they tried charging $50 for the room.. another time charging over $150 for the room.. really would like to get a set price instead of feeling like they adjust them based on traffic

Called the restaurant on a Saturday looking to book reservations for my birthday I spoke with the owner “Kenny” I asked him how do I go about reservations. He told me about the private rooms and pricing he told me $248 for room & your guest can have separate checks or you can create a menu for guest. I said “ok I like to create a menu for my guest cause I see nothing on your menu is over $30 online” he said correct. I said how will guest be serve he said we can give plates or how you like “ I asked about buffet style he said “i can set that up for you” he asked what was the things I wanted on the menu I said chicken and lamb chops was fine. And I couldn’t really decide from there what else so he said “I’ll put a nice menu together for you and your guest.” The venue is byob which is a plus considering drinks play a big factor at any dinner party. So from there Kenny proceeds to ask me my budget I said well $500 12 ppl (based it off his menu online)he said well lamb chops are pricey and it is 12 people , give me $600 and I’ll make sure everything real nice for you, I normally take deposits but I’m not going to today just pay when you come “ … yall on bday I could’ve literally cried. Get to venue nothing setup no buffet.no proper greeting for my guest nor me. no host no nothing. He ask to speak to me privately first thing he asked was I’m sure 12 people was coming ? If he felt unsure why not take a deposit; wether 12 ppl showed or not I had the balance discussed. More than 12 ppl showed including my kids. from there i knew he wasn’t prepared for me and my guest. I asked what you think I wasn’t going to show up ? He goes on to say how he going to feed my guest this and that and give me something special (which was jerk snapper didn’t even asked if I wanted that) than he bring me and my guest to the dining area. Employees not proper dress looked liked they just rolled Out of bed. But that’s a different story . So he seats us he start walking around to each person like “what you want to eat ? Lamb or chicken we got everything” mind you AGAIN NOT WHAT was discussed during reservations. I told my family & friends what was discussed over the phone that we will have buffet style and the restaurant created a menu for me already I knew for sure lamb and chicken for sure cause that WAS DISCUSSED & they paid for their plates already cause I got each of my guest to send me 30$ a plate. AGAIN ONLINE MENU. So you can imagine the confusion of me and my guest at this point cause this guy asking them what they want with NO menu to go off of. So he come out with Chicken boxes for my guest that wanted chicken. For my guest who wanted lambchops, 2 lollipop lamb chops with cardboard mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli which is priced online $20 as an appetizer. he said it was broccolini. mind you i do catering and have an successful catering business. They was florets with Thai chilli sauce. He was so unprepared for me and My guest wasted so much time cause he had to serve us one by one plate by plate. By time we got done eating it was getting later. no time to really drink and play games to do everything he is place has to offer. Me irritated atp i pulled him to the side try to have a conversation about his miscommunication and how he under-delivered business owner to business owner. CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. he started going off saying how I needed better friends cause he gave us top of the line chicken boxes top of the line now? He said that he could’ve charged me more and he has a whole new menu that’s priced from anything 60-80$ he pulls out this paper menu point to the red snapper and say what do that say $75 “ again didn’t ask for that. Only
Me and another guest are red snapper. Same sides for each guest , he ranned out of fries for his Chicken boxes and decided to give one of my guest sweet Potatoes fries which he sent back cause he don’t eat that. Than he goes on by saying he don’t even open Mondays he did that for me. Again I didn’t ask him to do none of this. He was very unprofessional.
