We ended up at the Golden Palace after checking out all the beautiful Christmas lights at Indian Creek Plaza! It was the best decision we made! Love the fried rice, and everyone enjoyed their meals! Great service!

We came in today at 3pm after a memorial service. We had called a week ago and reserved the banquet room for 3:30-5. We were a half an hour early and ordered the number #11 for 30 people ( banquet style) plus drinks. We ended up having 35-40 people and had the Best service ever. They were so accommodating. The food was great and we had plenty of leftovers. Thank you Golden Palace for your fabulous service today. Our family greatly appreciated it.

The regular staff and food are always amazing, i would heavily recommend if you want a nice, quiet, and comfortable place to sit down and get some good food. I always make sure to get some Tsing Tao beer everytime I come here. 10/10.

This was our first and last time. When we first walked in there was a very weird smell. I feel like that was my sign to leave. The staff was nice but the service was awful. We never got any refills on our water or ever had anyone one come back to check in. The food wasn’t good. The egg flower soup tasted fishy. We couldn’t even eat it. I have never had fishy egg drop soup before. Everything had an off flavor and looked weird. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Sat at our table for 20 minutes . Received a pot of tea and an iced tea. No one came to take our order. It was 1:40 pm and the place was empty. Left $5 on the table to cover our drinks and went to Indian Creek Steakhouse and had a great lunch with great service. We won’t go back to Golden Palace Restaurant.

A solid, independent Chinese restaurant (not a buffet or chain) with generous portions and well-made food. Service was a bit slow at first, but they were clearly slammed with takeout and dine-in orders and only had one server. Once the order was in, the food came out quickly and was worth the wait.

We planned to spend Christmas Eve here, knowing it would likely be busy. We wanted to spend some time downtown Caldwell & had heard their food was really good, do we made reservations. Upon arrival, we waited for about 10 min for our table-no big deal. We were brough to a room with a mountain of empty beer and wine bottles boxes, and tables groupings. We sat down & were asked what we wanted to drink. The waitress brought our drinks out & that was the last time she ever came to our table again. The glasses were dirty, table was sticky…it was a dingy room, there was no music, clutter everywhere..very odd experience. Oh well.. But then we also noticed our drink glasses were dirty. We couldn’t really do anything about it though because no one came back to our table. Our server kept walking around our table, but never stopped or looked at us as we sat..and sat…at one point, she disappeared. After about 30 minutes, we asked someone who was walking by if they could have our server come take our order. The lady we asked said she would go get her, but ended up coming back herself & took our order. She said they were busy-we told her we understood & could see that, and thanked her. Then we waited..and waited. No drink refills, no check in…nothing. Other tables had gotten up to find their own menus, and we could see people in the entrance standing there who had been there when we first walked in. Every once in awhile an employee would grab a box from the box mountain & fill it with big orders of take out food, and bring it up front. Long story short, we waited for over an hour after our order was taken. The room had cleared out a lot..but still we sat. So, after another 20 min we decided to just leave. No one cared, no one noticed.. We waited 1hr and 20 min for our food & never got any service. What a let-down. We couldn’t do a ton this year, and going out for a fun Christmas Eve dinner was our only plan this year. Golden Palace, you really ruined it. We did what we could; made reservations, and were more than patient. I know the restaurant was busy, but thats a ridiculous, unexceptable wait. If take out is going to be your priority, don’t open the restaurant up. Dont take reservations. We thought we’d be able to get dinner on a holiday.

Feel bad leaving the review but based on the reviews they’ve had before they don’t read or respond/change anything. They service I got was really slow but I didn’t mind that. It was my girlfriends and I first time coming in and wanted to try a restaurant we hadn’t been to as we often do. The lady that served us was very curt and short with us and acted as if we were the problem. Maybe she was having a bad day I am not sure. The attitude problem and slow service continued through the night. The food wasn’t good at all either. All the chicken is the same and dishes are the same but you just get different sauces to dip it in. It wasn’t until we were leaving and she saw my tip was she nicer. I also tip well and I never tip less than 20% I often tip 40%+. I won’t be going back but I hope change happens.

It’s a very good place if u want to js eat real fast i guess. The workers are pretty chill nonetheless. I really like the decorative style. Overall it’s a nice place to eat.
