Simple American food. Busy place, nice building, great area. Wasn’t incredible but was good. I would return for the atmosphere alone.

Busy but the staff handled it well. Pretty simple choice if you are looking. Drafts are expensive so I wouldn’t go back for a beer. A small pour of blue moon was $6.50.

Burger was fine, just a burger. Fries were good too. Overall, not bad but nothing to write home about.

So Me and my wife went fireside on main in Plantsville.. I called to see what time they closed they said ten ,so I said ok I’ll come for nine, was a long work day for me. So I get there really late I think it was about 9:30 and they were already cleaning everything so I insisted I come back the next day because I didn’t want them to have to turn the ovens back on. Well nope they wouldn’t let me said no no no your here and we are gonna turn them back on. I felt really bad, but let me tell you their customer service was amazing!!! Their food was really good! I will definitely be going back and very soon. Thanks Fireside on main for such a awesome experience. Let me not forget they had games on the top of the booth so you could play while you wait Just genius I tell you!!!!

Went out for a date night with the hubby. We had the garlic knots as an appetizer, I had the gnocchi (a special), and hubs had the pizza. Everything was delicious & my husband, a native New Yorker, said the pizza was the closest to NYC he’s had here in CT. The staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was very nice & laid back. We had a great experience and will definitely come back often!

We had the best time ever!! Food was amazing, everything cooked perfectly! The drinks are absolutely delicious, I loved the blackberry margarita!!! The atmosphere was the best part…at no point did we ever feel rushed and had no clue they closed at 9…there were 7 of us and we only realized they closed when we left around 10:30. Not many restaurants nowadays where you can sit down, eat, drink and enjoy your time without feeling rushed. Can’t wait to go back! Mike and Lisa Thank You so so much for the awesome experience!

We stopped in for the first night open (limited menu for now) and it was just awesome. I had the Ghost Pepper Pulled Pork and it was phenomenal! This is the owner’s second restaurant. With anything he does is you get MORE than what you pay for. My pulled pork was piled high on the most delicious sandwich roll I think I have ever had. Apparently the roll is an amazing bakery secret. The Ghost Pepper cheese was awesome hot. If you love heat then you need to try it! Finally the Mac N cheese is made from scratch and sooo cheesy and delicious. I found my new go-to restaurant and encourage others to stop by! Call first to confirm hours as they’re not fully open yet as of 2/12/22. You will not be disappointed! And please ask for “Mare” (Maryanne) to be your server. She’s awesome.

Great food. Buffalo chicken bites and fireside burgers were delicious. Natchos were very big. Came out in this big can, very cool. My son liked the chicken fingers, fries weren’t greesy. Cheese cake was very good! Didn’t have to wait too long for food and the owner were so nice! Will be back again

Awesome was here for a great comedy show. Drinks were great and good sized. Didn’t try the food but hope to get back to try the cowboy pizza. Sad I understand they’re closing soon because their rents gone skyhigh.

We heard about this place when we stopped by The Raven’s Nest and noticed they had events partnered with/at Fireside on their event calendar – so we thought we’d check it out!

I was surprised to find out they hadn’t officially fully opened yet, but were still up and running at a solid tilt. The place wasn’t packed to the gills, but had plenty of folks over by the bar, has a cozy side room, and the owner even let us check out upstairs where they have a lovely event hall type area. There are welcoming fireplaces throughout and booth sizes that accommodate small, medium and larger parties. Very comfortable interior.

Okay, so the place looks nice – how’s the service? The owner greeted us on entry personally, saw us to a table and had a server right over to take care of us. He checked in on us and every other periodically (without being intrusive – he was genuinely pleasant to talk to), offered menu suggestions and background on any dishes we asked about. The waitress was quick, pleasant, kept our drinks filled and even informed us of an off-menu dessert! We were warned on entry our orders might take a while, but honestly I didn’t notice a delay at all.

Most importantly, how about the food?! I’ve been to Italy, and I’ll tell you now that the arancini I had rivaled anything I had across the Atlantic – texture was spot on, full of flavor, absolutely wonderful. The burgers were cooked perfectly, fresh crunchy lettuce, delicious buns, hand cut fries… Every detail taken care of. Did I mention that they make everything from scratch in the kitchen here? It shows, and the owner (rightfully) takes a lot of pride in it.

To sum up:

If I had to level a complaint on penalty of death, I’d say I wish there was coffee on the menu to compliment the heavenly desserts. But, since Lion’s Den coffee is right across the street, I think I can give them a pass and still offer five stars with a clear conscience. If you’re looking for a quality burger, welcoming ambiance, friendly/attentive service and very fair prices, give Fireside a shot. I’ll be heading back.
