Absolutely incredible dining experience — we’re so thrilled to be tasting Chef Ryan Seal’s creations at the Lodge! Having loved his food at Greenwood, we couldn’t be happier that he’s now brought his talent and creativity to Sea Ranch. Each dish shows so much curiosity and innovation, from the seasonal fresh pastas to the exquisite desserts (the Chocolate Crunch Cake was divine). The menu feels both comforting and adventurous

The atmosphere, of course, is always five stars — especially if you time dinner at sunset to watch the last light fade over the bluffs. We always bring friends to walk the coastline before dinner, then settle into the Lodge for that golden-hour glow. Pro tip 🙂

— we’ll definitely be back!

The recomondation was from a firend, so my expectations wer pretty high. We started with a ceviche a apitizer (personally I think needed a little more lemon) followd by a delightful little gem green salad with apple. and a glass of fruity Chardoney (as recomended by the server). The Entre, my with had the scallops, I had the Halibut. For desert a wonderful carrot cake for her, and a chocolate mouse for me to suit the occasion. The service was perfectly attentive and not pushy. A perfect dinner with a fabulous setting. By the time we left the space was packed, so reservations are advised. I guess that was Jazz night because there was a trio in the lounge… a delightful evning

The best I’ve ever been taken care of at a restaurant. We came for our four-year anniversary. The host and our servers were hospitable with white-glove service beyond our expectations. We have enjoyed our trip immensely, but the care they put into our special night made us decide to make the trek up yearly just to come to this restaurant.

For a luxury establishment, the prices are reasonable. The highlight was definitely the risotto, but the scallops were pretty good too. Lots of unique cocktails and some nice white wine options.

We made reservations well ahead of our trip since it was for a Friday night. We were seated quickly at a nice table with a sunset view. We started with the bread and olives. Soft bread with briny olives, sweet roasted garlic, olive oil, and balsamic. We shared the heirloom tomato salad as well. It was enough for 4 portions. It was tasty with fresh bib lettuce, peaches, tomatoes, cucumber, and mozzarella cheese. It was dressed nicely with light oil and vinegar. The women ordered the crab cakes which were about the size of a burger. Very crabby with a crispy coating. It was served with baby greens. The men had scallops with corn succotash. It had a light, but buttery broth. The scallops were tender and sweet. I enjoyed both dishes, but the succotash wins the evening. For dessert we shared a praline cremeaux. It was a small portion, but rich and not to sweet. It was a delightful evening.

The weekend brunch was amazing. Great ocean views. Fantastic architecture and atmosphere. Seating was comfortable and not too sophisticated. Felt homey on a cold rainy day.

Lox bagel was very tasty and filling. Open faced with good fresh salmon and veggies. Generous amount of salmon.

Burger was unique in that it had jam on top, so there was a fruity taste to it. The patty itself felt well prepared, and the brioche bun was soft and pillowey.

Fries were nothing crazy but not too greasy and cooked well.

Accommodating staff when we made some minor requests.

We had the seasonal salted caramel latte with oat milk. Best coffee up here by far. So excellent that we wanted to get another drink they were out of caramel!

Their normal lattes were also fantastic.

Matcha is a no get. Very bitter and milky, poor texture but that kinda stuff isn’t really the forte here.

Beautiful spot for dinner in sea ranch! Staff were so friendly and very conscious of allergies including celiac. They had many gluten free options and told me which things were made in a gf fryer. The brussel sprouts were INCREDIBLE. Really nice cocktails and wine selection too. I was excited they had a very nice tawny port on the dessert wine list. Look forward to visiting again

Beautiful atmosphere and view. Our server was wonderful and we were able to order several things that were gluten free except with some cross-contamination from the fryer. Nice presentation of food but overall the flavors weren’t my favorite.

The architecture of the place is STRIKING. It’s probably its best feature. The minimalist, cozy vibes inside with the large fireplace, rocking chairs, and funky music will immediately put you at ease. The large windows overlook the ocean, and we saw sheep grazing right in front of the restaurant. It was perfect timing to catch the sunset.

The service, however, did not put us at ease. For some reason, the hostess made us wait for half-an-hour before seating us even though there were several empty tables. The waitress was not friendly and didn’t provide a smile or any recommendations. Maybe because she was tired at the end of the day? The bartender, however, was delightful. We should have just sat at the beautiful bar.

The cocktails were delicious – I really enjoyed The Moonraker, which included vodka, nutmeg, eggwhite, and other delicious things. I ordered the Petaluma chicken, which was fine, and my partner ordered the mushroom pasta dish, which was filling. The burrata appetizer had more greens than burrata. Overall, it was decent but not worth the price or the snooty attitude. Come for the drinks, apps and the view! Avoid the rest.

Sea ranch lodge hosted my rehearsal dinner with two young kiddos and it was an amazing experience. The views through the windows, the gorgeous interior, the food, and the service were all beyond anything I could’ve expected. Huge shoutout to the staff (especially Leela!!!) for rolling with the punches of a busy family with lots of changing of seats and moving around. Spectacular experience! Can’t wait to go back for anniversaries!
