XR is truly a hidden gem in the Crossroads. Their brick oven pizzas are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had! Reik, the bartender, makes some of the most delicious and well crafted cocktails I’ve tried. The management is always present and attentive, making sure everything runs smoothly. Even during peak weekend hours, Katie goes above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of, which says a lot. If you haven’t checked this place out yet, I highly recommend it. Super chill vibe, amazing drinks, great food, and even a pool table it’s a perfect spot all around.

We were from out of town and heard that XR was a place to check out. At first we had a great experience in their inside restaurant. We started off with espresso martinis which were great and service was great. Since it was a nice day we decided to go up to their roof top area to continue our experience. There we found out there was a big difference. First, our drinks were ok and order were mixed up. Food was disappointing and expensive. Service was slow compared to their downstairs restaurant. Great views of the city and had several areas to sit. Whether it was tables or comfy sectional seating. Overall, I probably would not go back for the food. However, the atmosphere had a cool vibe with great views of Kansas City on the rooftop.

Started our experience at the Crossroads’ Percheron Rooftop Bar and ended it at XR. The atmosphere was the ultimate standout, but the food and service were still good! I ordered the Shroomer Boomer, and the goat cheese herb mix on that is yum! The dining room filled up to near capacity despite it being a weeknight, and we even had a very chill celebrity sighting. A very cool spot to feel metropolitan for a day! Only cons were the pebble ice that came in my cocktail and that parking can be somewhat limited if you’re not a hotel guest.

We recently hosted our daughter’s wedding welcome party in the XR bar and it was the most fun! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and perfect for what we were hoping for. The drinks were on point as well. But most of our – the service we received from Stella, our server for the night was above and beyond! She was awesome and made our night extra enjoyable! Thanks for Stella and XR for helping us kick off the wedding celebration with a bang!

Stopped in to XR for some pizza with friends. We ordered 4 pizzas, one of each. I ordered the margherita , but something happened to it in the oven so it has to be remade. I waited about 20 mins watching my friends eat theirs. I was too kind in my response to the error. I didn’t get any discount or my mocktail free for the mistake. Disappointed.

Came in to have a drink to wine down 1/1/2026, this is the second time we order a drink from the bartender (black guy) with black and white plated shirt/jacket he is rude doesn’t have that happy attitude to make you feel welcome. This place doesn’t make great expresso martini creamy anymore. We had a complaint last time about our service, wanted to talk to the manager, he told us I am the manger. Never coming back here again to take his rude attitude.

Sammy is an amazing host and bartender. I’ve been coming to crossroads hotel and XR bar for years… I think its high time I left it a review. Each morning that I come in, Sammy always greets me when she’s here with a smile and conversation that makes me feel like this place is is the community hub! Excellent service! I love this place! If you are in kansas city, this place is a must visit!

Nice little cozy bar, relaxed atmosphere with couch, table and bar seating as well as a pool table and shuffleboard. I came here on a Monday night and there were a few others, not too busy. I loved the ambiance. The staff was very friendly especially Nicholas, Kelly and Bradley. I didn’t try the food yet because the restaurant was closed but I will definitely be back and I highly recommend.
