I ordered a med-rare Swiss cheeseburger and fries. My date ordered Beer battered Fish Fry. Now usually when we go out I leave bout 1/4 of whatever on plate. When I tell you this burger was huge and fresh when it arrived!! I put just lil ketchup for wetness that really wasn’t needed! I ate the whole burger!! And all but maybe 4 fries! I had to unbutton it that tells ya!! I wasn’t fan of coleslaw, but it was late and they’d been busy all day. I went about 615. They close at 7. I was def impressed tho! I will be back!!

I was really disappointed. The dutchess potatoes were made with instant mashed. The Crab stuffed haddock was made with imitation red and white crab . The peach cobbler was more like a heavy sugary pudding. The ladies were awesome and the place was very clean.

We went for the first time in a bit to Big Papa’s and everything was even better than ever before!! We got chicken and biscuits, a kids chicken tenders meal with fries and a kids cheeseburger with fries. Everything was seriously perfect and so delicious. For a family of 5 we got out of there for under $75, too! That’s unheard of these days!! Highly recommend!

Got fish fry, which was absolutely awesome. Also got few different burgers for rest of the family and they were absolutely amazing. Even the kids loved everything they had. As far as fish and burgers go, this is the best place anywhere near. I have not tried other foods, but have no reason to expect anything different. Highly recommended.

Absolutely abysmal experience. Not only did the person taking my order on the phone need me to repeat myself multiple times, my food was wrong and they closed by the time i got home and i live in hornell. Its over priced and the food is the very definition of better than nothing, the fries, burger, and fish were all completely unseasoned. Its sad there isnt much else in the area because i cannot come back here if im going to get something so bland and overpriced, if i even get what i ordered.

I used to eat the fish fry and it was ok. Last time in though I ordered an ice tea and they served me one in a little glass and when I asked for a refill they told me I would have to buy another one. The place has gotten too cheap and the food has went downhill. Will not eat there again and it is a shame that they have gotten so bad that they are choosing to take this approach to customers. Used to be a nice family place now not so much.

Food was very tasty and delivered in a timely manner. Service was a little slow but we did go as a group of 20+ people all at once and only one server. She and the kitchen did well and was very accurate on orders. I had chicken and biscuits.

Its not the honest conversations with the staff. Its not Big Papa’s owner Chris’s delicious signature beer battered haddock. Its the feeling you get when just finished your 9 hour shift and walk through those doors; hungry, exhausted, and yearnin for that familiar sentiment that only Mom and Big Papas can deliver.
