But I feel like they need to add more meat to ratio the rice portion being more though? Plus veggies in it kinda taste blanched or a lil odd, but still eatable. But other than that, I like some stuff here that I tried for the prices I paid etc.
I do feel they need to work on not over sharing convos, where customers can literally hear them while we eat? Idk just a thought, cuz it can seem like I’m invading their space while they chit chat stuff? idk lol.
So to me, it can come off unprofessional ngl, but I don’t mind the joint though, it’s recent so it’s still building up it’s place in Citrus Heights.
(Ngl I rather eat here than Panda Express close-by, cuz they have chicken katsu! Which I don’t think Panda Express has that..)
Overall, the experience was not bad. I think I’ll give Time before I actually go back and see if they can work out some of the personality differences with the team And improve on how to handle customers when they come in store.
There are definitely better spots out there that serve similar food with more balanced portions and better protein quality. For the price you pay here, it’s hard to justify the value. I don’t see this place lasting long unless they make some serious improvements. Hopefully they figure it out. I might give it another try in the future if they’re still open.
The menu strikes the perfect balance between comfort and creativity. Each plate tells a story: bold flavors paired with fresh, high-quality ingredients, executed with skill and heart. Even the presentation is a feast for the eyes — elegant without ever feeling pretentious.
What truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere. There’s an ease to the space, the kind that makes you feel like family, whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular. Service is attentive yet unintrusive, creating the perfect environment for meals that turn into memories.
In short: this isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. For anyone searching for standout food paired with genuine hospitality, this is a must-visit destination.
I ordered steak teriyaki with fried rice and vegetables. The flavor was ok – the stake was cut badly and was all connected at one end making it difficult to eat – especially in a bow packed to the brim where cutting is impossible. The fried rice was gummy and was only the rice and eggs – none of the usual veggies ones finds in fried rice. The veggies on top were a pile of cabbage, 3 partial slices of zucchini, and 2 very tiny pieces of broccoli – nothing like the pictures show.
I won’t be going back.
