Manchaca at the new ‘Way Down South’ food truck park that was recently built.
When we arrived at the truck, we were greeted by the sweetest lady. She took down our order (pad thai) and our names and how spicy we wanted it to be (1, 2, or 3). I wasn’t sure what level I should choose so I went the medium route with a 2 and I tell you what, I’m sure glad I didn’t go for a 3. The spice level on a 2 was pretty spicy, but not to the point where it was unbearable to eat but it did leave me going for the water after a couple of bites or so (I’d get the 2 again).
The actual flavor, irrelevant to the spice level was amazing, some of the best pad thai I’ve had in a minute! The noodles were done perfectly and had amazing texture! The chicken and tofu, in the pad thai, was also very tasty.
The place they are currently parked at has plenty of parking and seating for when I gets less hot out!
Overall, would recommend, great food, great location, friendly owner!

Oui (the owner/chef) is super sweet. We’ve been once and she knew us by name. That says a lot about a business owner. Her food is probably some of the best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand. Portion size is huge, enough for two meals and very affordable. If you’re craving Thai food in south Austin, look no further!

Owner was super nice and made for good conversation. I got the pad thai fried rice with chicken and for 8 bucks you get so much! She also made it extra spicy and gave extra cucumber slices. Overall, an excellent find and a food truck worth revisiting.

I went here a few months ago and got their pad Thai I think. It was DELICIOUS and very spicy which is what I like and what I asked for. I did end up having to get a bottle of water though and the owner gave me a sympathetic look and just gave it to me lmao so sweet of her. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This is the best Thai food I’ve had anywhere outside of Thailand! I have been to Thailand 3-4 times a year for the last 20 years and this place blew me away! So tasty and not drenched in oil. Just good seasoned food and friendly staff. Pricing is amazing for the portion size you get.

My mouth is still having a food orgasm hours later! No joke, the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Bangkok! So freaking good! The green Curry Chicken was mind blowing. Service was great and price is amazing for the portion sizes! Definitely recommend! PS: they may have moved locations. I went to it at the Old San Antonio Rd location.
