This is exactly how I like my teriyaki chicken, I come here for lunch a lot and every single time it is perfect. I get my food immediately after I order so no wait during my lunch break. The woman working there is very nice.

Review updated as of December of 2025: I am sorry it’s taken me so long to update this review. A month or two after the Owner saw my Google review she responded below and asked me to contact her to help make things right for me! I did, and she ended up offering to Refund my money from my previous purchase, she apologized and validated my upsetting experience with kindness, and she went above and beyond by also mailing me a $25 Gift Certificate to Hula Grill so I could try their food again. =)

I unfortunately have not made the time to return since I don’t live in Talent, but her thoughtfulness is very appreciated! Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how they choose to respond. If only more local businesses would be so caring, proactive, and generous! Many times food staff can turn the other way, not care, and offer nothing to make up for a mistake. Thank you Hula Grill Owner. I look forward to giving you another try.

Initial Review: I was enjoying my shrimp tacos and mac until I discovered a hair (not mine), at the bottom of my mac. See attached photo It was my first time trying the food here. I ordered delivery through Door Dash. I ordered the tacos and also rice with chicken terriyaki. I hope I won’t find any issues or more hidden surprises inside the chicken terriyaki.

Ok my Peeps off of I5. Stopped back on talent just a mile off the fwy heading west.
Decided to review this place from the recent negative reviews.
My recent visit i asked for ter teriyaki chicken, and the receipt indicate teriyaki chicken with pork.
For those not wanting pork, I think this must be displayed as such.
I find that in my most recent experiences Phoenix and Talent have sanitary lack when it comes to clean utensils and gloves, and hair wraps.
However, I liked this place
Food was fresh as well as good, plentiful and fast.
Remember you are dealing with food trucks that have high volume and smiling customer service might not b available. (However went back a month later and the person was very nice with a smile and spoke “how she loved working there”).
Went back to check consistency, my experience was better.
However, I recommend this place.
Depending on the time you go, parking is the only issue.
There are other food facilities within walking court.
Places to sit and eat seemed plentiful.
TY

I absolutely love the teriyaki chicken! The chicken is marinated in the teriyaki before it’s cooked so there’s lots of flavor throughout the meat. The fish tacos are also fabulous and my stepmom gets that often.

I dont want to go against the masses, but this was not good. The chicken was dry and overcooked. and I bit into either a bone or a very hard piece of chicken. it tasted burnt. This was my first time ordering from here, and I ordered here because of the reviews. But my chicken was inedible. The rice and pasta was good. I threw away the chicken.

I really wish they had vegetables to go with the bland white rice & minimal amount of meat. Not everyone can eat mac & cheese – there really needs to be more options or at least way more meat served to make the outrageous $15 worth it. Some options could include grilled bell peppers & onions or other veggies, or even grilled fruit like pineapple. Any of these would elevate the dishes immensely. The only veggie option they have right now is some dry cabbage, & asking for “a ton” will still get you hardly any. Kind of a bummer & feels like a huge waste of money.

Also, the orange sauce it comes with smells weird & I do not want to try it. And they plop the tiny containers of it right into your food, which I find unsanitary. More sauce options would be very appreciated as well (served on the side/out of the food container). Suggestions: soy sauce, Teriyaki sauce, Hawaiian BBQ sauce, etc. (Pic was taken once I got gome & added my own sauce to it).

The truck is beautiful with a fun design. It’s in a fun location with plenty of seating. The ladies working inside the truck are always friendly. But the food is just way too overpriced for the lack of flavor & options available. I’ve been a local in this area for a while & would easily make this spot a regular choice & bring others to try it if a few things were added, or if the price went down a few bucks. I feel like I’m paying $15 for some rice, a few strands of cabbage & not enough meat. I kept hoping things would improve, but that’s why I finally decided to write a review. I will try this place again in a few months to see if they’ve gotten any better, but if not, I won’t go again.

Ps: there are a couple different versions of their online menu, one of them (the first one thst pops up for me) has old prices that show $1-$2 less per dish.

Always my go to spot in talent. Love the kalua pork fries, the spam misubi, and the loco moco. The fries can definitely be shared! Great portion sizes. The girls are always friendly and helpful.
