Do not miss this restaurant in Hoi An. We went back for the 2nd time this week because it was that good. The customer service from Duyan and Trang was the best we have experienced. Both were funny and kind and made us feel welcomed. My son had the braised pork and rice and the pork skewers and fried rice, his wife had the sea bass and spring rolls. My daughter, Emily had the chicken sandwich, we also had another order of pork skewers and the crispy pancakes. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is set back from the street in a beautiful garden atmosphere with lanterns and string lights hanging from the trees. Added some food pic from our first visit. Best place we have found in Hoi An so far!

A scenic spot that is very close to Old Town Hoi A but seems to avoid the crazy crowds.
We went for dinner last night and there was only one other table occupied.

We had the chance to dine at Soul Restaurant, located inside Rivertown Hoi An Resort & Spa, and I was genuinely very pleased with the experience.
I ate here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during our stay. Mainly because I have a very sensitive stomach and I’m always extra careful when eating out while travelling. It’s not that I don’t trust local food at all—I just have to be cautious.
At Soul Restaurant, I felt completely safe and comfortable eating here. Everything was incredibly clean, well-prepared, and presented nicely, which really gave me peace of mind.
The service is fantastic—staff are warm, attentive, and always happy to help.
The food is delicious, with a good variety, and honestly very affordable for the quality and setting.
If you’re staying at Rivertown or even nearby and want a place where you can eat well, comfortably, and stress-free, this is a great option.

We had amazing meals at Soul Restaurant, the breakfast buffet spread is the best we had so far, authentic Vietnamese and Western cuisine… great variety of salads plus they also offer gluten free and vegetarian options. Barista coffee is super! Service is top notch caring service staff from the chef to the service staff. Excellent team and very caring to all guests too. We had afternoon tea and lunch too at the restaurant. Quiet and homely environment walking distance from Old town. Love this place!

I would rate it 6 out of 5 stars if it was possible. We celebrated my wife’s birthday here and they arranged the most beautiful birthday decorations in the garden. The service by Mr. Thang was superb: very friendly, accommodating and quick. We only ordered Vietnamese food and were not disappointed – it was the best food we’ve had so far during our trip in Vietnam. Delicious, fresh and well balanced local delicacies. Highly recommended!

Despite having booked well in advance the restaurant did not seem equipped to handle our group of 10. Our first drink order tool 25 minutes to arrive despite there being only one other table of diners in the restaurant. The waitress asked if we wanted our entrees and mains served separately and we said yes then they served all the dishes together. The food was fine but not the best we had during our week in Hoi An. We were celebrating a 50th birthday and were expecting some fanfare based on the reviews we had read all that happened was a small piece of cake?! Overall disappointing considering we had high expectations based on the reviews we had read.
