Stopped in on a Thursday evening around 6. No one eating there when I got there. But service was great by a friendly waiter. The food came out fresh and hot. The shrimp was delicious.

Stopped in at Penn’s Restaurant wantin some fish after a long day, and it hit the spot pretty good. Catfish come out hot and crispy, hushpuppies and fries piled on the plate, and I walked out plenty full. Folks workin there were friendly enough and kept drinks topped off, place felt clean and easy goin. For the money I paid, I’d say it’s a good spot when you’re in the mood for some simple seafood.

I had the three piece catfish with toast instead of hush puppies. The pieces of catfish were small and shriveled and had little flavor. The coleslaw was ok. Fries were good. I asked and was told that’s how the fish fillets always are. It’s not a particularly clean place.

The buffet was awful. There was no catfish fillets. No fried shrimp and the boiled shrimp was not good. Sides were cold and the tea was not sweet. The lettuce on the salad bar was no fresh. The only good thing was the hush puppies and the cobbler was OK. The table had to be wiped down again.

I stopped in at P n’s around 3:30 in the afternoon. I ordered the catfish dinner with fries. Hush puppies and coleslaw, the fish was excellent. It was not fried too hard. It was seasoned to perfection. The coleslaw was also excellent. The star of this penns is Ms shirley. It took about 12 minutes for my Order to be cooked while I was waiting. I started a conversation with Miss Shirley found out that myself and her sister went to school together. She offered me some strawberry lemonade while I waited( it was great). then she offer me some banana pudding. All it is with excellent customer service. I will be back.

First time in a couple years stopping by. Ordered the Catfish and Chicken plate and half order of “Large” butterfly shrimp. Everything tasted great. The Cole Slaw was awesome.
Only reason they don’t get 5 stars was the shrimp were not large, probably (60-80’s per pound size). Will definitely be back. Hopefully I will get through on a Friday or Saturday when the seafood buffet is available.

Great food and service. Friendly staff and very clean. We had the appetizer fried green tomatoes (awesome). We ordered the all you can eat catfish and you get 8 good sized pieces to start with along with hushpuppies, coleslaw and French fries. But if you want to substitute you can get fried okra, backed beans, turnip greens just ask. Also they have a lunch buffet that ends at 2pm. I got the ambrosia aka fruit salad w/marshmallows & coconut.
