I’d call this BBQ spot “Eclectic”. Offering BBQ | Vinyl Records | Chocolates | Cookies. Located beside ExxonMobil gas station. Often, the debate about barbecue is whether wet or dry is better. Overall, this was on the dry-side. We ordered the lunch specials – Pulled Pork and Brisket sandwiches with chips and cookies. The meat was well-seasoned (not greasy) and nicely presented on a giant potato roll. We ordered coleslaw topping to the Brisket. Portions are large. We both agreed that the Almond Joy cookie was yummy and the perfect dessert pairing. Not sure what was going on with the “Vinyl record section” inside, but it was a little bit cluttered and dusty, maybe they are in the midst of re-organizing? 3-4 picnic tables outside under the pine trees for use. Owner operated, very kind and friendly service. 🙂 🙂 🙂 3 Smiles

Just ok at best. Pulled chicken and brisket sandwiches were both dry. Baked beans were decent. Two sandwiches, one side and one drink: $33.00. Wouldn’t go back. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend. The chain Mission BBQ is vastly superior, similarly priced and a sit down restaurant.

Mediocre at best. Pulled pork sandwich just comes with meat and bread. There’s too many other good restaurants for me to support to ever go back here again. It reminded me of the six flags pulled pork sandwich. Except the six flags one was more flavorful.

Five star seasonal family owned deli. Fantastic smoked pulled pork, chicken, brisket smoked on site. Amazing potato salad made in store fresh daily. A husband wife owned business for years.
Very friendly.

The atmosphere was stylised in this adorable Americana, and the proprietor behind the counter was welcoming. However, the overall experience rates okey. No sooner had I completed my order, when I heard the distinct sounds of microwave button beeping. Also, what was delivered was certainly not a brisket sandwich, which I requested. It’s a charming place, but the food quality is mediocre.

Guy behind the counter was super friendly and the place has a very cool vibe, but I was bummed to get home and find pulled pork in the container when I ordered the brisket. If you go, just make sure to check your order.

This is take-out only. Always delicious.

I checked out the catering menu. It is priced in increments of 10 people and is priced very well! Makes large group dinners at your house easy!

Best brisket sandwich around also the smoked St. Louis ribs that we took home for dinner were so big and tender. One rack fed three people, what a deal for only $20.99. Not a sit down kind of place, mostly to go. Worth the trip!

Lousy food, unacceptable customer service. There is zero reason to be rude to a stranger that is attempting to do business with you, and unfortunately the folks that work at Porky Pete’s just don’t care. The employees seem miserable and have zero interest in their customers or work. The food is mediocre at best, with most items being marginally above inedible. Avoid.
