Had the fish sandwich and fries, mom had the chicken bacon sandwich. We agreed the food was quite good! We were there at an off time in the afternoon. While the service was courteous, it was slow. But we would go back.

Do not stop here with more than a party of 4. We had reservations for our party of 11 for breakfast. It took 1 and a half hours to eat in shifts. The food wasn’t horrible, it would have been better warm. I wouldn’t be back.

Waitress slammed the menus down in front of us, hit my mother in the hand and then said “what do you want to drink.” In a snobby tone. The only good thing about the food was the fries. Has potential to be better and has a nice atmosphere.

It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Bad service and bad food. I got the chicken sandwich and my chicken tasted like the hot dog that my son got. It was very stringy. He’s almost 2, and it was tough and rough just cutting up his hot dog. My mom order the Reuben which was super greasy and mostly sauerkraut. Barely any meat. My fiancé ordered a cheeseburger and it definitely wasn’t fresh meat. It tasted pretty rotten. The waitress was nice but constantly hovered over the table until she gave us the check. She placed the check on the table at the same time she gave us our food. And it definitely wasn’t even close to closing time either. If I could give this place a 0 star, I would. The prices are way too high, especially for the food and service. some of the kids menu prices are even higher than the adult prices. I’m not sure how this place is even open still.

The cost is way to high for what you actually get. There is only one women taking orders, running plates, checking customers out, and cleaning so it kills the dinning experience. The one lady that does work here was really nice and was trying her best, she’s the only reason We gave 2 stars. Probably wouldn’t recommend or come here again.

My traveling partners and I were looking for a gas station and lunch on our trip home from Maine. We wanted more than fast food and this nice little town had quite a few one-of-a kind food establishments. We ended up here as it was directly across from the gas station we used. As it was mid afternoon on a Tuesday, there were only a few customers. We were greeted by a very cheerful server named Roxi. She took our drink order and returned promptly with our drinks. She took our food order and that is where we found out she would also be preparing our meal. After eating some pretty fancy dishes on our trip, we all ordered pretty basic fare. I had a tuna melt, fries (a very generous amount) and cole slaw (which was very good). My companions had a grilled cheese sandwich and a BLT. I don’t remember exactly what their sides were but Roxi was very accommodating on making sure they had exactly what they wanted. We had just enough time to have a nice discussion on our trip thus far and then the food arrived. The hot dishes arrived piping hot and the cold dishes perfectly chilled. Roxi kept our beverages filled while she was clearing off all the other tables. It now was quite apparent that she was the only one working at least until 4 when a server would arrive for the dinner hour. I read all the other reviews for this restaurant and I can happily say we did not encounter any of the negatives that were posted by other diners. Roxi was very helpful with the local history and what other points of interest there were in Westfield. Our group was highly satisfied with our visit to Vine City and we hope that Roxi receives great compensation as she was the greeter, server, cook, busboy and historian for this quaint little establishment. Thanks, Roxi, for helping end our trip on a very positive note!

Great little hometown place! We stopped for lunch on our way from Niagra Falls back home to Cincinnati, OH. Quaint little hometown cafe/restaurant! Roxie was our waitress and chef. We had the Reuben, Cuban, Ham Club and the Chicken and Shrimp Basket. And Chocolate and Pecan Pie. Everything was good. It was a bit pricey, but it’s a small place in a small town. I get it.

Nice, homey. Service was good, food okay. But small portions for the prices. $12 meals do not even include homefries, or toast. Not what you would expect at a diner

I’m torn on this on. On one hand, both breakfasts my wife and I ordered were perfect…. perfect. On the other hand, I never had a breakfast take so long to prepare. Never. Service was looking listless. I had to walk to the counter for coffee refill.

This was our first and last time visiting. My salad never came and when my dinner did it was cold. The waitress was nice but clearly lacking sufficient training she did not know what to do when I said it was cold. Very disappointed.
