Really nice place in DC which has a great happy hour and nice atmosphere!

In the happy hour, the wings are 7 dollars I think, and you get loads of them!

The beer is similar price, I can’t remember.

Overall it’s a fun place

I went with my family group today. Salmon was excellent, service was average, and there was only gelato as a GF option, and it was not very good. My sister also didn’t enjoy her ice-cream nuggets with caramel. Challenging to find parking at the minimum, it took me a little over 10 mins. It didn’t stand out as a place to return; it’s not cost-benefit friendly, it’s really an average place, but we had a delightful family dinner.

It’s my favorite place in Navy Yard and also the best way to start off my weekend!! The staff there are all so amazing, very kind and attentive, to my needs and just always making me feel at home! Now let’s

This place is AMAZING! The food is incredible! The service is amazing! The only downside: it is so incredibly loud… I don’t know if it’s the acoustics in this building or what but it sounds like everyone is yelling… it is difficult to have a conversation at a table. Apparently it’s a Wednesday thing because it’s half off bottles of wine (that’s what our server said). But I would definitely come back here! The food is so good! Where it’s late we’re going to sidecar, but there was no indoor seating and it was raining so we went next door since they served the same pizza and it was so worth it! Highly recommend!

Only been here once but I was impressed. We sat in the closed-in patio section of the restaurant on a very cold day and were mostly fine temperature-wise. Inside they have a bar and a small raised platform for a small musical performance. Sadly we were done before that night’s performer was up. The food was solid all around. Two of my friends had Detroit-style pizza, rectangular and deep-dish. My ribs hit the spot. I’m not down in this area much, but I would go back. A couple of blocks from Nats Park and the Metro.

As friends who hadn’t seen each other in a while, we stopped by Scarlet Oak to catch up over drinks and a few snacks. It was a gorgeous evening, perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the weather.

Although we just missed the Happy Hour window, we still had a great time. The food and drinks hit the spot, and the company made it even better.

Stopped in to Scarlet Oak when I was staying in the area before a game and it was interesting to say the least. We sat at the bar and there was a birthday crew near us who were extremely loud and obnoxious. Could barely even concentrate on having a conversation at the bar top. The pale ale I had was really good but apparently there was a special on some beer when it’s DC United game day? I didn’t realize this until after I left (my mistake) but the bartenders had no plans on telling us I suppose. Also wanted to grab a quick app which was a mistake. To be fair, we must’ve just caught them on a bad day but the chips and guac were awful. Brown guac with no flavor at all alongside chips that were stale and greasy. Visited March 2025.

Just a few blocks from the Nats stadium, Scarlet Oak delivers! The Detroit style pizza is one of a kind, the appetizers are unbeatable, and the menu has something for all.

Get the apps, try a cocktail and don’t miss the pizza.

Ate here with a large group and overall, enjoyed the experience, though I don’t have a desire to go back. Some of the food and drink options are overpriced, which could be expected of a restaurant around Navy Yard. Their menu is largely American, so there’s options for folks who may be pickier. According to our server, they do not split the checks for a group: patrons of a group can either split the bill evenly among many cards, pay with one card and pay each other back, or go to the bar to tell their server which items are theirs and split the gratuity and taxes. The last option makes checkout incredibly slow.

I ordered chicken and waffles for $16: crispy chicken thighs on a whole waffle with pickles, drizzled in hot honey, and a side of butter and maple syrup. Not a bad deal. I also ordered a coldbrew coffee with a shot of Bailey’s Irish Cream. The coldbrew was $3.50, but the shot of Bailey’s was $10.

They have Detroit Style pizza which looked good (someone else ordered it), but at the price tag ($18/10”x8” (4 slices) or $29/10”x14” (8 slices)), is not worth it. It’s not even that expensive in Detroit (Buddy’s Pizza as a top-tier reference).

Outside dining in the middle of big buildings. Atmosphere, people and food all great. We had Mac and Cheese, which was very cheesy and creamy. I had the blacken chicken with fries. I wish it had a little more “blacken”, but it was still amazing. The onion poppy bun was something that could easily accompany just about any meal. It was awesome., especially will a little crisp from the pan sear. They do have indoor, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sit outside. Big thank you to our server, Maria.

If you found my review helpful, please give it a thumbs up.
