Roxanne’s Cafe is hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots. The people there are incredibly friendly and always do their absolute best to make sure you’re happy and comfortable from the moment you walk in.
The food is very reasonably priced, and honestly, it’s about as close to a true home-cooked breakfast as you can find. Everything tastes fresh, hearty, and made with care, the kind of meal that just starts your day right!!
What really sets Roxanne’s apart though is the staff. They go out of their way to be genuine and interested in you. You don’t feel like just another customer, you feel like you’re visiting friends for breakfast.
If you’re looking for great food, very fair prices, and a warm welcoming atmosphere, this is the place.
Highly recommend!

A Charming Diner with Hits and Misses

Stepping into this small diner, you immediately feel its laid-back charm. The atmosphere is genuine, the kind of place where you can comfortably settle in with a cup of coffee and not feel rushed, or be able to get in and out in 15min if needed. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive with their service without being overbearing. What’s more, the turnaround time on food is impressively quick, making it a great spot if you’re looking for a speedy bite.

However, while the experience of being there is delightful, the food itself is a bit of a mixed bag. For a classic eggs and bacon breakfast, you’re in good hands – it’s prepared quickly and hits the spot for a simple, satisfying start to the day. And if you have a sweet tooth, their cinnamon rolls are definitely a good option.

Unfortunately, beyond these diner staples, the rest of the menu would be a gamble. Although perfectly edible, many dishes lack that certain “oomph” that makes a meal memorable. It’s not bad food, but it’s not particularly noteworthy either.

In short, this diner is a fantastic choice for a casual, no-frills breakfast, especially if you’re craving some eggs and bacon or a cinnamon roll in a friendly, unhurried setting. Just keep your expectations in check for other menu items.

Absolutely love this place. Prices and portions that leave you wondering how they can turn a profit. Coffee and Soft drinks are 99 cents. Still blows my mind. In an era where we have been conditioned to pay 2.59 or more for a fountain drink it’s refreshing to not get gouged.

Roxanne came over and introduced herself to us and warmly welcomed us. During our visit we witnessed her actively doing every facet of the industry. I can tell you without a doubt she cares immensely about her customers and her restaurant. In this day and age it’s easy to support a place that holds to traditional values of quality food, great portions, great pricing and service from people who love what they are doing. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could

Roxanne’s is located in an old bank. Cool set up, it has an old country feel. The service was good and the food was also good. We went in a Saturday morning and only had to wait 4 or 5 minutes.

The absolute worst service! We went here for breakfast Thanksgiving morning expecting the same exceptional service we always receive at the Platte City location only to be met with foul customer service, horrible food and NO accountability whatsoever! My husband asked for his steak to be cooked medium; it came out bleeding. I found a long black curly hair in my omelet. Did they care? Not in the slightest. Not an offer to have my meal replaced, an apology – absolutely NOTHING! The lady had the audacity to say it was her husband in the kitchen as if to imply there was no way when she clearly acknowledged the bleeding steak and could see the long curly black strand of hair still partially inside my omelet!

Very cozy restaurant. Lots of space has a good ‘hometown’ feel. The bank vault is a really cool item of history. The menu is very hearty and wide spread on the types of dishes.

You are likely to be served by the same waiters and waitresses every time you come here. They seem to take pride in their work. My son loves their pancakes and my daughter loves their Farmer’s Choice breakfast. The booths are comfortable and the vibe is old-fashioned. The prices are from the 1990s so there is great value to be had. McDonald’s might cost you more.
