The first thing you notice about walking in is how bright and vibrant it is. It’s almost like the color of the decor and artwork just pop out at you, and my favorite color is red, so I may have a little bias. I came specifically for the Chopped Cheese sandwich that I’ve been seeing videos of from different places in New York, and stumbled across one highlighting this one. I figured a 25 minute drive is much easier than a flight to New York, so I have it a try. However looking at the menu, I almost folded and tried one of their platters because of the pics I was seeing on the menu and outside the restaurant, but I’ll gladly come back to try those. As I’ve alluded, I will be back to try other offerings because the Philly Cheesesteak was so good. 1st, if you don’t like your food piping, and I mean piping hot off the grill, move on, cause this is not the spot for you. I was almost sad I had to let my food cool down to even start eating cause it looked so good. I was surprised to see the roll was a sesame seed roll that had a slight crunch to the exterior, but completely soft interior that broke away fairly easily with each bite of the sandwich. The good, but not excessive cheese pull all the way through the sandwich. Seasoned steak that wasn’t chewy or over cooked! The fries were fresh, crispy, and had a seasoned taste too them as well. I opted not to get a drink this time, but will upon my next visit.

We have ordered for Take out from this restaurant a few times and good has been generally good and tasty. Their mixed platters are also a good option if you are sharing it with 1-2 other people.
They have a great variety on the menu.
Feedback for management:
Simplify the menu design- Keep it simple as its very confusing for folks to select items with the current design
Give a description on the mixed platters
We recently ordered the mixed platter. It should have had a variety of meats, however it was mainly filled with a lot of rice and just gyros meat and some chicken thrown here and there.
It was also filled with fries, which we feel was an overkill! Please ask your staff to make it proportionally so that there a more varieties of meat and more protein than carbs (rice). The salad was mainly filled with tomatoes, it should have had some lettuce and other items in the salad as well.
Thank you!

Mixed platter with chicken and lamb gyros was great. Solid Philly cheese. Overall good place for quick bit of halal food. Chicken sandwich was just ok, it had too much mayo and lacked spices.

I showed up around 3 PM to get a mixed platter, and the chicken was flat-out disgusting — filthy taste, bad smell, and clearly not fresh. It honestly felt like they reheated yesterday’s leftovers. I paid $15 and ended up throwing all the chicken away because it was impossible to eat. On top of that, there was only one employee running everything, so the service was painfully slow. This place needs to fix its food quality and staffing. I’m not coming back. For whoever who wants to go there, I would suggest they go at night because at least during the night they must be serving fresh.

I tried NYC Halal Eats and the food is seriously amazing. I ordered the Monster Platter, Mixed Platter, and Lamb Platter& everything was fresh, made to order, and packed with flavor. The meat is super tender, well-seasoned, and perfect for meat lovers.
It does take a little while to get your food, but that’s because it’s cooked fresh and it’s worth the wait.
The ambiance isn’t the best. It’s very red, white, and black, which can feel a bit overstimulating for some. But they have great takeout options and plenty of parking, so grabbing it to go is easy.
Overall: incredible food, generous portions, and definitely a spot I’d go back to.

Extremely disappointing experience. Last night, I called to raise a concern about the long wait for my order. For $13 per sandwich, the portion I received was shockingly small the piece of chicken was tiny. I called politely just to have my complaint noted; I didn’t even request a refund.Instead, the staff tried to prove me wrong, insisting that the chef confirmed the portions were standard. I’ve been a regular customer and have never faced an issue with quantity before. The service was disorganized from the start, but this response to a simple complaint is unacceptable.
I am posting this review to show the staff that trying to prove a loyal customer wrong is unprofessional. None of the NYC branches I have visited are as poor in customer service as this one.I was just trying to let them know and how i felt as a customer,This is unacceptable, and I will not be returning.

I would rate “ZERO” to food with tons of sauce feels like the main item was sauce and rice or meat was on side, fries looks like taken out from refrigerator.
Very bad customer service the guy in the picture was very rude, I came to get like 2-3 entrees but because of him I just got one, thanks God his rudeness saved my money.

Flavorful Tasty Filling Food. My family and I will definitely return as they have a wide variety of Food, Sweets Drinks Desserts to order from. I’m looking forward to visiting again and tasting their shakes and variety of drinks they offer. The portions that you receive is more than filling and can be shared if you’re a person that doesn’t eat much. They also are abundant with the sauce both on the food and extra to take home. Most establishments nowadays are stingy with the sauce, this is not the case at NYC Halal. Friendly staff and family oriented establishment. During my visit there were several very well known YouTubers present. All of the food and meat was very well seasoned and not overpowered nor salty. Also they provide you with extra sauce. My family and I ordered the following below. As of my review NYC Halal closes at 3am everyday.
Loaded Philly Cheesesteak: Tasty Big sandwich, definitely can be shared 2 maybe 3 ways. Consist of; chicken strips, cheese sticks, Philly cheese steak & French fries.
Loaded Chicken fries: Very Flavorful packed w/ Chicken, Cheese w/2different sauces & fries.
Loaded Steak Fries Also very flavorful and packed with Philly cheesesteak meat, cheese, fries & sauce.
Lamb Rice Platter: Not sure if we ordered hot but the rice was a little spicy for me but very flavorful light fluffy and good. Very well flavored.
6 piece Shrimp: Ordered with sauce, nice and crispy fried shrimp.
Salaam Cola: Very Sweet

This place first stood out to me when driving home late one night. The bright lights were what caught my eye but it was the fact that there was still a bunch of people inside close to midnight that made me bookmark it for later. I didn’t actually try it until a couple of weeks later when I once again found the lights calling out to me while on my way home from a show.
It was a little after midnight when I stopped in. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and the staff gave me a friendly welcome and were patient while I looked over their menu. It was hard to choose so I’m glad they had a mixed platter option that would allow me to try both the chicken and lamb at the same time.
At only $13.99 I couldn’t believe how much they were piling into the to-go container as I watched them assemble the platter. Big scoops of wonderfully seasoned chicken and lamb along with fries, and a bed of one of the tastiest take out rices I’ve ever had along with some salad for good measure.
Now I was a little skeptical when they started totally blanketing the feast with white sauce but seeing other customers happily enjoying their orders gave me confidence that I could trust the process; so much so in fact, that when I noticed them going a little light on the spicy red sauce I went ahead and requested extra.
It was a feast indeed. The meats were both so tasty I would have difficult choosing a favorite and am now very interested to try the other menu items. NYC Halal Eats is definitely one of my new favorite places and I look forward to many more street meat cravings being satisfied by them in the future.
