The burger is solid. It’s thick, well-seasoned, and has that nice smokiness from the smoker. They cook it medium to medium-rare, and it comes on a brioche bun. It’s rich and heavy, so the pickles really help cut through all that flavor.
The OG Brisket Sando comes with a good amount of brisket, and the BBQ sauce has a nice sweet and tangy balance. The brisket itself could be a bit more moist, but it’s still pretty good overall.
They’ve got a big menu with smoked meats, but most of those items are portioned for sharing. I wish they offered smaller BBQ meat plates for lunch because it doesn’t make much sense to order a $50 platter just for myself. The sandwiches are great, but I’ve already had them a few times and would love to try more from the menu.
(Just park across at Vons, problem solved) This place is A MUST ❤️
The meat was tender enough and had a nice smoky flavor.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better 🙂
It’s a pretty standard BBQ spot, but the warm service and relaxed atmosphere make it worth a visit if you’re in the area.
They have a number of beers on tap. IPAs as well as some local popular beers. Great place to relax and enjoy your food and friends.
Usually there is plenty of parking out front a lot depends upon what time of day you are there. Enjoyed the food and the experience!. Look forward to coming back to try some of the other sandwiches and meats on the menu!
It seems one worker was there, also manning the cash register, serving as waiter, ducking back into kitchen area. Three people were there when I arrived and three other groups, two large and one guy back second day in a row it seems.
Food came out piping hot within 10 mins of ordering. You know, like when you microwave it. The half chicken looked dry and stale but can’t say it was, just not rich barbecue. The beans were super bland, the piping hot mac ‘n cheese was tasteless, if you can believe it. I left half of everything, except a big slice of bread, which was stale and hard; I didn’t eat that. And the cornbread, which was the best part of the meal, which I ate most of, but which did not strike me as homemade.
Hate to give negative reviews to small businesses (only reaaon for two stars), but the experience was not good. The worker was good, checked in with me, and was doing amazing, all things considered. And everyone there seemingly had been there before. So, it might just be me.
Brisket was immaculate and Ribs were perfectly spiced. The quality of the smoke and meats is mouth wateringly good.
Zuckerberg could come here to learn how to smoke these meats and upgrade his sweet baby rays to their homemade BBQ sauces. The spicy sauce is great. The coleslaw and and baked beans with Smokey bacon in it was something you could enjoy on its own as a reason to come here but altogether? Come on. Nothing in LA comes even close.
This place is a sleeper in this strip mall center. Don’t let the modesty deter you from trying it though. That would be your loss. My only fear is that this place will become too popular and get an LA hipster line around the corner soon. Glad I got here before ya’ll turn it into a instagram famous place.
