This was our first experience here. Our server Emma was phenomenal. She explained the whole menu to us and answered all of our questions. She was efficient and on top of everything. She had a great personality and was very sweet. She made our dining experience a great time! We will definitely come back.

Overall impression: delicious food in a great atmosphere; we will for sure go back. The tableside guacamole is a MUST! Soooo good! And if you like it spicy, sprinkle some of their house made hot sauce on it. Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavor.

After a long 10-hour day drive , I came here late 10:00 p.m. on Valentine’s Day , and we seated promptly and placed our order. Food is brought out quickly and i have eaten here before so the quality is always great . We were in and out in 45 minutes. The waitress was very engaging , not just treating you like a number.

If you want to eat here several things to consider: outside eating is a great spot no matter the weather BUT the major downside is you’ll be sitting aaaaaaaaawhile before your server can greet you. Because outside servers have tables all across the area plus inside. So it isn’t unusual for a server to have 6 tables from inside to outside and then across from one side to the other. Since a majority of the customers order table side guacamole which is made only by the servers they are backed up. Not their fault — it is nuts that a different position isn’t doing the guac so that serves can focus on the tables and ensure great service and also turn their tables faster benefiting the restaurant as a whole, the customers, and the servers. We ate twice in 5 days. First time we had Jessica. ASK FOR HER!!!! She’s experienced and good. Because we waited so long to be greeted because she got slammed (as explained earlier) she dropped off chips and salsa to our table immediately. They were yummy. I’m gathering chips are not complimentary but a purchase item. Because on return just days later with a different server after waiting 20 minutes to have someone come to the table chips were dropped off but when we asked for salsa we were told we’d need to purchase chips and salsa because salsa isn’t allowed to be separated from chips. (Huh). On both occasions we waited over 20 minutes to be greeted, both times it was outside, and both times we watched frustrated customers around us. Again, Jessica was able to make it work and smooth things with the guests while the other servers did not have her skills. The food itself FABULOUS!!!! Great job to the kitchen. Steak is moist. Seafood delicious. Chips done perfectly. The drawback — don’t get churro dessert. It was terrible. Hard chunks that I feared I would break the plate trying to get a piece versus eating it like a caveman. Also why is an ice cream dish not served with spoons and when asked for them it was a major annoyance. The wait time is normal — maybe 10 to 20 minutes for a table. BUT!!!! Remember you’ll be waiting another 20+ minutes once you sit down to be recognized so don’t go starving just go hungry. We didn’t get alcohol but watched the other table livid because it took so long to get their drinks that when they arrived the ice was melted and the drink was watery.
Before posting this I did call and ask to speak with a manager. After 3 days of waiting for a return call I decided to just share here since the location wasn’t interested in hearing the feedback.

MACKENZIE made this whole experience. She was the best hands down, answered our questions, gave recommendations, etc. The food was delicious, vibes were on point, atmosphere is so fun!! Everything from the nachos to the tacos were so good! Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Mackenzie for a great experience!!

Went out to Rocco’s tacos for an end of vacation meal after flying back from New York and we were disappointed! First off, our server Kris was nothing of excellent! His recommendations off the menu were all delicious, and he was extremely attentive throughout our entire experience. We started off with the table-side guacamole and chips which was a 10/10! Then we all tried different tacos that he recommended, as well as the grilled skirt steak platter entree that Kris also recommended and every single thing we enjoyed were absolutely fantastic! It is somewhat of a drive for us, but we will most certainly be back! Absolutely delicious!

We had an amazing experience at Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar in Tampa! Our waiter, Chris, was absolutely fantastic, super friendly, charismatic, and incredibly thorough when explaining the menu. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.
We started with the tableside guacamole (so fresh and delicious!) and the wings. We asked for them extra crispy and they came out perfectly cooked. For entrées, we had the Al Carbon skirt steak and the tacos. You can order the tacos as a pair or get the platter with rice and beans, which is a great option. For dessert, we shared the brownie with ice cream, and it was the perfect sweet ending. Prices felt very fair for the quality and portions.
The atmosphere is casual but really nice, with great music playing in the background. They also have indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor heaters were super helpful during the cooler Florida weather.
Overall, we loved our visit and would definitely come back, especially to see Chris again. Highly recommend!

Went a few weeks ago and I love the vibe of the mall and being able to sit outside by. We had the chips for a starter and they are some of the best chips at a restaurant. Then my main event was the birria tacos. They were solid not the best but still a decent taco. I love the decorations around the bar and of course watch some TV while peeing in the bathroom.

Food was really good although not authentic tacos. Ordered the birria tacos, the plating was odd as it was on a wood plate smaller than the taco and with no edges, so the juices would spill everywhere. The flavor was slightly off, too much cumin.
Their guac is prepared table side , the flavor is average, the use of pickled jalapeños Is not traditional and it needs some more lime.
