My sister and I came here on a Friday afternoon following the duck parade. We were seated right away and greeted by Justice, our server. She was kind, attentive, and gave good recommendations. She even checked if the soup of the day contained flour since my sister has celiac. We ordered the soup of the day and each got a salad. We were not disappointed. The soup was phenomenal- a cauliflower chowder. It was savory and full of flavor without being salty or heavy. The salads we got were filling and had light dressings. Of course we ended our meal with the duck dessert. It was so rich but worth it. We ended up taking soup and half a dessert duck back to the hotel with us for later.

The highlight of our meal was Justice. She was on top of everything. Engaging. Kind. Funny. She went to the concierge to get a map so she could point out highlights and other places to try. She made sure we were set for the rest of our stay in Memphis. She completed our magical day by going above and beyond.

Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The Mediterranean Pizza was a favorite. We swapped chicken for shrimp and it still came out perfect. Crust was great and it needed no changes. The Sea Bass Wrap was light with a slightly sweet, creamy sauce and the fish was seared beautifully. The Sea Bass Fish Tacos were refreshing and delicious with a pineapple salsa that was subtle and not too citrusy. The fruit on the side was very fresh. The Peabody Burger was thick, juicy, and seasoned well with a cute duck branded bun. Fries were good too. The staff was very polite and our server was phenomenal. She checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. Great experience all around.

Came down for breakfast one morning during a recent stay and couldn’t be more impressed. We were able to get some excellent vegetarian options, and our server Justice delivered excellent service with Southern hospitality. All the food came out fresh, and the portions were quite large, at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Went with my bf for valentine’s day. food was so mid. i had the new york strip and he had the filet minon, super dry no flavor.. the spinach and broccolini was very salty couldn’t eat it. mashed potatoes were alright. too overpriced ! the scenery was cute but chairs were a little uncomfortable. service was good and he did let us know there was a delay on the food to come out, which ended up coming out 35 mins later.

Very delicious food. Not exactly worth the price point, perhaps because in part this restaurant is in and a part of the Peabody hotel, but if you’re looking to splurge and want an italian-american upscale dining experience in the hotel, this can be worth a trip.

The seafood risotto was very buttery and creamy, however actual seafood protein portion in it was lacking.
The gnocchi with braised short rib was also very rich; they let the umami-beef flavor shine in that dish. Balance of beef to gnocchi was good.
The Entrees we had were well seasoned, I might say very slightly on the edge of salty.

The bread and butter board appetizer item is a very good pick. The pretzels and bread loaf it came with were served warm. Highly recommend the truffle butter and smoked honey butter (the Smokey flavor was barely noticeable and not too much).

Do not recommend the sweet potato casserole thing; was expecting a mash-like glazed yams type of flavor with the hit of the pecan crust they put on top, but the actual side dish had a strange aftertaste to it.

We had a fabulous experience at this restaurant located in the Peabody hotel. The service food in atmosphere were impeccable. And the quality of the food for the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend dining here when you’re in the area.

Overall, it was a good experience at best. Service was great until we got to pay the check. For some reason, our server disappeared after serving us desert. Waited close to 10 minutes, and there were literally only 2 tables being served. For some odd reason, this is the first Italian restaurant that does not serve bread with olive oil as a snack. We tried their ceaser salad and oyster frittas, and those were delicious. For the main course, we tried their BBQ chicken pizza and halibut special with red pepper polenta. Chicken pizza tasted great, but I wish they were not so stingy on the chicken. Halibut was cooked to perfection, but my wife was not a big fan of the polenta. Their Mississippi mud pie was amazing. Probably best of the whole meal.

Wonderful experience overall! Food was spectacular, and the service was phenomenal. We had the Stairway to Crisp Heaven, the Sebass, a Filet, Champagne Risotto, and the Tiramisu and Mississippi mud pie. . . The Filet was one of, if not THE best I’ve ever had. . . The portions were great, and everything was next to perfect. . . A couple of small things. The light was a little bright and could’ve had more of a romantic feel. . . I sort of wish there were a little more of a dress code. . . I know that’s hard to do, but sitting next to a couple of guys in dirty jeans with dip cups wasn’t great. . . They also need to update their menu pricing. . . Not a huge deal, but the dessert prices were not the same on the menu as they were on the bill. . . Loved it though and will be back!

we had a reservation at 6pm on valentines night. it was our first time dining at capriccio. 0/10. we checked in at 6pm on the dot and were told there would be a 30 minute wait for all the reservations. i’m not understanding why there is a wait for a reservation but I considered them busy because of vday. an hour passed and we were still not sat. we had to share our concerns with the manager for us to be sat. he was extremely rude. the hostess was wonderful and it was not her fault. we were finally sat by 7:15 and it took 20 minutes for our server to even greet us. she didn’t even introduce herself she only said “yall ready”. we decided to leave and our valentine’s day dinner was not how we expected. I am a server at a fine dining restaurant so I am more understanding than most people. we will not be dining at capriccio again.

I recently visited Capriccio Grill at the Peabody Hotel for a Mother’s Day dinner, and I must say, the experience was disappointing. At $80 per person, one would expect attentive service and pristine dining conditions, but this was not the case.

Despite the dining area being largely empty when we arrived at 5 PM, the self-serve soup and salad station was unclean, and the table, though clean, was surrounded by gnats. The gnats were also at the dining table.

Additionally, the cups and silverware were dirty, necessitating a request for replacements. Service was minimal and inefficient, with our waiter only appearing at our table four times over the course of an hour and a half.

The food itself was a letdown—served cold, lacking in flavor, and the portions were frustratingly small: precisely five green beans, one carrot, and a spoonful of potatoes. One of the dishes was even served 15 minutes late. Given the price and the prestige of the Peabody Hotel, one would expect much better. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend dining at Capriccio Grill based on this experience.
