The food is affordable, there are constant specials and new things being added to the menu, and the service is so generous. However, none of that means a compromise in quality or flavor. I dare you to find another BBQ place in the Wichita/Derby area serving sides with such flavor, desserts that are new “experiment” that instantly become your favorite ever (key lime pie, wow), and meats with flavors that take you back to your childhood and somewhere new all at once. I cannot recommend the ribs enough. Even the cornbread is moist and sweet, another rarity in the area. I’ll be frequenting here for many years to come!

I purchased the 1 meat brisket, with mashed sweet potatoes and red beans for the sides. The sweet potato was what you would expect from a sweet potato. The brisket was pretty dry, although I was there toward the end of the day. The red beans and rice were cooked well but tasted pretty bland. I was disappointed with the cornbread. It was dry and almost burnt. Overall, not worth the time or money spent, exploring this new place.

The food was good if you like spicy. Which I don’t. Bbq was good and not spicy. Just the sides were. The problem I have is that they charged me an extra dollar, more than posted on their menu. To me, that is deceiving the customers. When I mentioned it to them, she didn’t apologize or explain why she charges more than the posted price.

I love cheese on a pulled pork sandwich, it keeps everything where it is supposed to be. Sauce was very good also. I have never finished mashed sweet potatoes from anywhere until today. Very tasty might use a little brown sugar. But it was very good and I finished it. Great family owned restaurant. Prices are great. Have not tried the banana pudding yet, too, full from meal. It filled the to go box and looks delicious.

The meat was tender and flavored well! Best BBQ in derby and surrounding areas. The red beans and rice was homemade and the flavor stood out, spicy but delicious. Had the carrot cake for dessert, one of the best if not the best I’ve ever had. Worth the drive from Wichita. Mostly a carry out place, there’s just a few tables but don’t let that stop you from experiencing BBQ that could rival Joe’s in KC.

Excellent BBQ! They offer numerous smoked meats and unique sides. I have tried most of them. Can’t wait to taste the burnt ends! I really like the macaroni salad. The cornbread is delicious. The brisket chili is the bomb!

This BBQ place is across from my Salon/Spa in Derby and I ABSOLUTELY Love them! Its all made from scratch and the BBQ Sauce, Pork sandwiches, macaroni salad and key lime pie are some of my favorites ANYWHERE! Kenny is a genuinly nice owner and wants to make sure you are satisfied with your meal. Its not overly priced and its quality and quantity surpass my old regular BBQ places! I hope Kenny and the crew are there for a long long time!!! My Fave for sure!!!

Stopped in at 2pm on a Sunday after seeing a small sign on our way into town, with my wife and 2 daughters.
Meat was great, it was not over seasoned like most places that are trying to hide the poor quality of the meat, this place let’s the meat speak for itself!
The sides were not an after thought like a lot of places, or overly spruced up, just good quality flavorful sides! I also liked that the dining area was small and I didn’t have to deal with a lot of people which was great!
And the mufuggin corn bread was absolutely great!!!
We will definitely frequent this place as much as possible!

Probably the BEST ribs you’ll ever taste! No joke. My pulled pork sandwich was fantastic! I love a good potato salad and I can say they now have my favorite potato salad! Everything was so good and SO affordable! Got a lot of food plus drinks for pretty cheap! Not too far from Wichita so I will DEFINITELY be back, especially for those ribs!
