If you haven’t yet, you have to go. We had an amazing dinner! I forgot to take pictures because I couldn’t wait to eat!! (I included pics from the menu) We had the Mixed Salad Plate with hummus, saba ganouj, cucumber salad, falafel, pita and an eggplant salad. It came with two dolmas and two falafel so we added a side of 3 falafel and extra tzitziki. We also got an order of kibba potato bites, which had a delicious ground meat filing with warm spices. The food was amazing, generous portions, everything was so flavorful!! The customer service was on point and they were very friendly and encouraged us to come back and talk to the chef, that he would be happy to make a sampler plate of kababs so we could try everything! Well we will definitely be back!! There is a bonus, they have an outstanding selection of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean spices, along with a fun selection of drinks.

So glad we stopped by this restaurant as we were passing by the area. We had their lentil soup, muhammara, grilled chicken plate, and lamb stew plate. Everything was so delicious and the portions were huge. The service was also exceptional we felt very taken care of and the wait for the food was less than 10-15 mins. Will definitely comeback if we are ever in the area again!

Amazing authentic food. It’s a great place. If you’re new to the area, highly recommend and we’ll be coming back. I recommend getting the hummus as a appetizer and the chicken Shawarma and while you’re at it try some Iraqi tea.

The food was better than anticipated even though I already anticipated it was going to be great!!! Super fresh and authentic. Some of the best food you will find in the treasure valley! Highly recommend the shawerma and the jajik. The jajik brought me back memories of a Greece trip I had years ago. Manager is really nice as well. Service excellent. Great prices. Take a chance on this place and branch out!

We stopped in Tarbush Kitchen while passing through Boise and were so glad we did. We ordered the family falafel appetizer platter with extra falafel, and it was more than enough food for two people. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and a fun way to try a new cuisine we hadn’t had before. The falafel was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and the dips and sides were delicious.
Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area and want something tasty, generous, and different!

What a great surprise! This restaurant is the best place our family has eaten at all year! The service is friendly, the decor is really cool and the food was amazing and not overpriced! My son and I loved our kebobs and my wife was thrilled with her chicken schwarma sandwich, but the seasoned hummus platter with the fresh bread stole the show!
It’s a great place to take families and the sandwich and fries for under $15 could have fed 2 people or more! We will definitely be back!

Excellent food and superb service. I eat here as often as possible. The chef and the staff are friendly and they remember you, even on your second visit. Old school customer service. Interesting, relaxing music as well as really good tea. The best.

Oh my goodness- DELISH! What a gem of a restaurant. Fresh food, served beautifully, carefully seasoned, large portions, priced appropriately, easy parking and access to interstate. This will be a restaurant we visit every time we drive thru or visit Boise for sure.

3rd visit Another update: went in on an October Saturday night at 6:00. Thought we could eat and make it downtown for a show at the Egyptian at 8:00. There were some people sitting at tables. We got water and menus. They were busy and came to get our order. We waited and noticed there were only 2 people working. Getting the to go orders cooking serving cleaning and cashiering. They never stopped working. At 6:40 I asked them when it was coming. She said it was coming up soon. Our delicious food arrived and we got them in time for our concert.
We shared the chicken kababs with rice and salad and the hummus appetizer.
Kudos to the two employees working that night. They were very friendly and really hard working people.
2nd visit Update: suggested the Tarbush Kitchen to a friend when she wanted to take me to lunch. She had a chicken dish she loved! I had falafel. We had baklava for dessert. The best baklava I’ve ever had. Not heavy or greasy at all. Very light. Very attentive staff. My friend asked about eggs in their foods and she saif the baklava has egg but I believe the rest of the menu is egg free. Confirm 1st if there is an allergy.
1st visit Wonderful. Looked for a vegetarian friendly restaurant and my son came up with Tarbush Kitchen. In the old Shopko parking lot on Broadway in Boise.
Had the falafel salad they have the best falafels!!!
We had Muhammara dip. Mmmm chick peas walnut red pepper with pomegranate molasses. Great pita too. Hummus on falafel and rice plate. It’s very light and delicious. Also a nice aioli on the plate.
Great prices. Definitely recommend this place for anyone!
