My family and I stopped at Skillet Restaurant while staying in Brainerd. I ordered the supreme skillet, my husband ordered the meat lovers skillet, and my daughters ordered the kids pancakes and fruity pebble French toast. All the food was delicious!!! They definitely have some excellent cooks because yum! I do think they nickel and dime out the beverages and sides of sauce, sides of meat, but overall good service, good atmosphere, and delicious food!

Best breakfast experience in a long time! Our server was wonderful because she was ready to go with toys when our little guy started to Get fussy. They said they have kids and know family members that have kids so they understand that sometimes kids just need some entertainment. Our food was delicious, and our little guy was so happy with his pancakes that he would laugh while eating. The atmosphere almost reminded me of Luke’s diner from Gilmore girls. Very friendly, very small town and very family oriented. We will definitely be back!

My food was delicious. Everyone was very friendly Rain my waitress was fun and happy. Prices we very reasonable. The atmosphere was vey homey and welcoming. The only reason I gave it a four was because it won’t appeal to all.

We were in town visiting and decided to try a local breakfast spot, so we stopped by Skillet Restaurant. We were seated right away and placed our orders, but unfortunately, we ended up waiting for over an hour for our food. Our waitress eventually came by to check on us and explained there was a large group ahead of us. Then she realized she had made an error by submitting the big group’s order before ours.
She immediately followed up and promised to get our food out in 5 minutes, and she did. When the food arrived, I was disappointed—my meal looked burnt. She quickly offered to replace the hash browns, and the new ones were much better.
The waitress herself was very kind and apologetic, and she even told us our meal would be free due to the long wait. The food itself was just okay, but her excellent customer service made up for the situation.

The biscuits and gravy were mediocre at best. I don’t think the biscuits were from scratch and dry. Wait staff was borderline rude today. Maybe an off day?

We almost left, because we didn’t see the sign that said wait to be seated and walked in to a table (the restaurant was empty), immediately the lady said ” in the future wait to be seated, I have regular customers”. My husband said what I was thinking ” we can leave” She said no we didn’t have to, but in the future wait. I said “we won’t be back”. Service and food was good. But the whites on my husband’s eggs were a little runny and he doesn’t like that.

Food and service was great from the moment we step foot in the restaurant. The immediate acknowledgment from the staff even while she was tending to another customer to me is a + which is something you don’t see/receive everyday. The constant sporadic beverage refill and check in is also a huge bonus, she even informed us that she was stepping away and that her colleague would be able to help of anything we needed. The French toast was soooo amazingly delicious. Missing mushrooms in my omelette but not a big deal. I would highly recommend this diner to anyone looking for great family friendly staff and atmosphere!! Do stop by and check it out when you’re visiting the Brainerd Lakes area

Amazing place, I tried the SloopyJoe Skillet over fried baby reds and 2 eggs over easy on top. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommend. Staff was very friendly and coffee was always full.
