Reviews
As I sit at home writing this review and opening a taco – it’s just a tortilla and chicken – despite their menu stating it comes with cilantro, diced onions, and jalapeno ranch sauce. Absolutely miserable experience and so poor that Fajita Pete’s is a place that won’t get a second chance, but I can’t imagine they’ll be in business much longer with this level (or rather lack) of service.
I even wrote this review BEFORE I finished eating.
MEAT: I ordered the Steak Fajita online which to me is FAR superior to the chicken.
TOPPINGS & Tortillas: Came with gauc, pico, rice, cheese, chips, salsa, tortillas, lettuce. EVERYTHING you need which makes it quick & easy.
I love both the flour & corn tortillas. The corn is a thicker style to where there is a subtle taste of Masa. The flour is LIGHT and I absolutely love that and so does my tummy.
BEANS: The refried beans are a perfect texture & taste just like the pinto beans my maw maw used to make. RIH Maw Maw. The charro beans are so flavorful with chunks of steak. These beans have been cooking all day.
SERVICE: Finally the service is outstanding. The food is always ready when they say and always served with a smile no matter how busy they are.
For improvement, it would need sour cream. The portion was quite small for the price. The rice and beans taste fine, but don’t add much to the meal especially when the rice isn’t particularly fresh. Also, the salsa is entirely throw away. It tastes closer to tomato soup. The price for what I received should be 12-13 dollars, not 18.
But overall, the fajitas were tastier than expected.
Note, this is mostly a dine out restaurant.
One of the employees was coughing loudly and often without covering his mouth at all. Coughed right at me. If the food wasn’t decent I would of only provided one star based on the hygiene of the establishment.
First, know that in my direct opinion Fajita Pete’s tastes like a white person in Iowa opened a Mexican Restaurant. IT is AWFUL, but beyond that….
We ordered $64 dollars of Fajita’s PLUS a TIP of $4. We got home with the food to find that there were no Tortillas and no queso in our bag. Ok, not the end of the world, but definitely frustrating. I called and asked if they could please correct the issue, I drive back to the store and they give me tortillas but no queso.I called them back driving back home to bring the family what I had.
The “store owner” calls me about 20 minutes later.
Low and behold, the owner is agitated, short with me and proceeds to ACCUSE ME OF LYING ABOUT THE TORTILLAS and the QUESO! LOL LOL LOL SAYING HE WILL NOT REFUND MY ORDER that I will only receive a PARTIAL REFUND!!!!
I told the “store owner”, I will call AMEX and force a full refund.
ON TOP OF THAT THEIR FOOD ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!!
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
WHERE ARE MY STOLEN QUESO and TORTILLAS, PETE?!?!
Editing my review because I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the portion size. I ordered Fajitas for two. They came in a small sized box and before I opened it I worried about the size. But there was plenty! I fed my giant teen that is trying to gain weight (eats a ton), my 5 yo that loved the chicken and myself plus had some left (the teen destroyed it). The chicken was tender, good sized pieces and just delicious. Thanks Fajita Pete!
