Sushi is okay nothing special. But when you spend $70 on sushi you expect to get spicy mayo included with the order. Instead you have to buy it for $1 each for a tiny container and you cant even request it when placing your order online. Also, the sushi is basically all tempura and no fish/avocado

Pretty terrible portion size. Ordered $30 worth of salmon dishes and got a couple dollars worth of salmon. Ordered it on uber eats. Second time ordering it and will go back to my usual spot. Check the picks out, it’s pretty ridiculous.

The rolls were falling apart, the flavours were just ok, and somehow the edamame beans didn’t taste very good either (also this is the only restaurant that I’ve been to where they don’t give an extra bowl for the shells)

Ordered for pick up and it was ready on time with polite efficient service. The food was ok, Sushi was good, the beef w/ broccoli was a little tough but the sesame chicken was delicious. I would say from a value perspective….. the prices were fair even though the servings were on the small side.

I’m not the type to write a review, especially a negative one. But the service my family and I received to night was unacceptable. My dad had just returned from the airport and we headed to Akita and arrived at 9pm, an hour before closing. We were told when we were sat that the last order will be received at 9:30pm, which we had no problem with. We placed our order and when we received our food, we were extremely disappointed. The sushi was 3/4 rice and 1/4 actual fish, maybe even less. I have been to Akita numerous times before and our sushi has never come out this way, ever. While we were picking off the rice from our sushi to make it a manageable amount, we were continuously harassed and rushed to put our orders in. At around 9:20, they told us that we needed to put our last order in because “the staff really wanted to leave”, which were the servers exact words. We ended up rushing in our last order in then and we watched all the staff (including our server) put on their coats and leave right after. I understand, having customers come in late is disappointing and I was hesitant in coming. But our family and I thought an hour before closing would’ve been fine as we are quick eaters and weren’t planning on staying for too long. The leafs game was on so we decided against going to chucks or boston pizza as it would be crowded and we wanted a more intimate dinner. Nonetheless, it was a disappointing experience, especially as it was my dads first dinner with his kids after going a couple months without seeing us and this was after a long 20 hour flight back to Canada. It’s also important to note we were out of the restaurant by 9:35 (again we were not planning on staying long but felt very rushed). We were extremely disappointed in the service especially because our previous visits have never turned out this way and quite frankly, if I could give our experience tonight 0 stars I would.

Ordered a party tray, seemed decent price until i picked up the maki sets. 14 of the tempura maki consisted of only rice and fried breading!!! Not even a hint of tempura shrimp, just breading and rice . Spicy tempura was mostly breading. I didn’t bother going back, just another place we won’t be going, and i’ll make sure my friends don’t either.

Below was my review a year or so ago and now I am honestly very disappointed, presentation has gone down, food doesn’t taste as good and is messy looking. You have to pay for spicy mayo now, even ginger and wasabi too…
Love the maki and sushi, so fresh and tasty. Disappointed in portion sizes for teriyakis, used to be a full chicken breast, for example and now just a few pieces.

Server was friendly. Food was average, chicken was cold. For me it was a fail to serve their bento box out of a plastic tray in the dining room. It’s not a picnic. Never in my life have I been to a restaurant and they put my food in a plastic disposable cheap tray. Bad dining experience.
