Reviews
From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was amazing, starting with the host and all the way to the bartender. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. A special shoutout to Lee, who went above and beyond helping the girls pick out drinks. His recommendations were spot on and made the experience even more fun and personalized.
I ordered one of their NA (non-alcoholic) drinks, and it was so good, refreshing, flavorful, and thoughtfully crafted. It’s always a treat when NA options feel just as special as the cocktails.
The food was equally impressive. Everything comes in shareable portions, which made brunch feel interactive and lively. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, perfect for grazing and trying a little bit of everything.
We were seated in the main room downstairs, which had a great atmosphere. We did get a chance to go upstairs, and the space is so pretty. It definitely makes you want to come back for another occasion.
Overall, an incredible brunch experience with fantastic service, delicious food, and a stunning space. Can’t wait to return!
The cocktails were not basic, with surprising touches and twists on the classics. For example, the ‘Kind of a Big Dill’ is a sort of martini-meets-white-Negroni, with dill and cucumber infused gin, green chartreuse, fresh ginger, and a few other inclusions that rendered it complex and memorable.
We ordered 6 items for the two of us dining and left totally satisfied— portions are not too small, and the food was impeccable. There’s a hummus trio situation named ‘Salatim,’ and I’ll be thinking about it all weekend. The pita bread was fluffy and flavorful and hot and just everything you want in fresh dipping carb. If you’re inclined toward cauliflower, it’s popular for a reason: because it’s a flavor bomb and perfect.
As a North Park local for over 15 years, I’m so happy that the old Urban Solace spot has finally been reanimated!
she was super helpful and she knows what she’s taking about GET THE BREAD PUDDING!!!!
IF IT WEREN’T FOR ZOE id really give this place a 3-4 stars.
With the way they expect you to order multiple dishes “to share family style” there shouldn’t be a single table there that is for two EVERY table should be 4+ I’m a large guy and i was so cramped at the table for 2. (Which ZOE gladly helped us switch to a bigger table)
Food is actually really good for San Diego which says a lot!
HOWEVER! portion to price ratio isn’t there. The only way I’d ever go back would be if they increased portion sizes cause 13 bucks for what’s a side of Mac and cheese. It’s literally not even shareable for 2 people.
It’s also just so dark in there
And before we even ordered drinks we ordered bread and olives. Which came after all the main things we ordered “sides” which was unfortunate
I’m going to chalk that up to it’s the first night and they’re still figuring the kitchen out
It’s a cute place but for the price id say it isn’t worth it other than just to experience it. Honestly the portions should be doubled from what i got
The service and attention to detail truly blew us away. Every single person we interacted with was so kind, attentive, and genuinely excited to make sure we were having a great time. The tapas menu is stacked with incredible options, and when we ordered the pork chop, someone came by to let us know they had unfortunately just run out — and immediately offered to comp any other dish. That level of care, especially on opening night, was so impressive!
One of my favorite moments: we kept a few bowls with extra sauce because we needed more pita to scrape up every last bit. Multiple servers tried to clear them, and we kept insisting we weren’t done yet One employee laughed and told us we had to try the pork belly sauce if we liked the sauce from the tripoline pasta and lamb hummus so much — and then proceeded to comp us the pork belly. She was absolutely right. That sauce was unreal.
Cocktails were also a highlight — my favorite was the Pistachio Blossom, refreshing and creamy in the best way. Standout dishes for our table were the tripoline pasta, lamb hummus, scallop medallions, flat iron steak, the best cake, and the malabi. We really wanted to try the crudo and pork chop, but they were sold out by our late reservation… next time
I truly wish I were rich enough to be a regular here You can tell the energy is UP from the grand opening, and that the team genuinely cares. Everyone was warm, generous, and clearly proud to be there.
Huge shoutout to: Ivan, Kayla, Andrew, Daniel, Alma, Brian, and Olivia
Can’t wait to come back.
Love,
Danielle, Emilie, & Espi
Must order:
Steak — the clear highlight. 10/10. Life-changing (why was that zucchini so good???!!)
Tripoline pasta — sweet baby Jesus… unreal.
Mediterranean street corn — your perfect veggie side. Don’t ask questions, just order it. I promise.
→ Protein, carb, veggie. You literally cannot go wrong.
Also loved:
Scallop medallions — perfectly cooked, dreamy puree.
Cocktails — all amazing, but the dill cocktail is ELITE. Someone at the table has to order it!! Trust me!!!
Vibes:
• Super cute New Orleans-style interior
• Dim, moody, lighting
• Service was incredible and this was opening weekend, which is wild. That means they’re only getting better from here.
Parking in North Park is a nightmare, get there early, carpool, or Uber. Protect your peace. Give yourself plenty of time to find parking.
I’m fiercely strict and harsh about food being worth the calories AND the money and this place was zero regrets, 1000% worth it.
