It was a nice dinner experience. The hostess seated us and Nicole was our server. She took our drink order and came by several times as we reviewed the menu and answered questions. The one thing we never got was how many pieces were plated for Crudo or how big bowl portions came.

We had Crab Rangoon as an appetizer. Best I’ve ever had with a dipping sauce. Our main course was the Hurricane and New Page Sushi rolls. The Hurricane was mild flavors and the New Page had a nice lemon hint. In addition we’re two Spotted Alaska Shrimp with the heads deep fried and Albacore Tuna. I’ll go back just for a double order of the Spotted Shrimp nigiri.

We arrived at 5pm (opening) as walk ins. The place started filling up fast so you may want to make a reservation. All of this ran $70+. Keep in mind we drank water.

Enjoy!

I have wanted to try this one since before it opened. We came in at opening and we’re luckily seated right away. They can get very busy quickly so I recommend reservations if possible. We tried the crab Rangoon appetizer and it was wonderful. It had real snow crab and was so worth it! We also ordered 2 rolls and a few pieces of nigiri. The new page and hurricane rolls were nice. I forgot to ask for no wasabi on the individual pieces so my husband ate them. It was awesome to have the fried head with the amaebi shrimp is our favorite part. Overall it was ok but very expensive. We would come in just for the crab rangoon and shrimp nigiri.

From start to finish, our meal was exemplary. Everything we ordered came out quickly, beautifully plated and delicious. The service was impeccable. Victoria and Shawn made sure we never had to ask for a thing and Victoria provided excellent guidance on the menu. We don’t live in Augusta but I’d definitely consider the drive to eat here again. And if you go- don’t miss the avocado. It’s a sleeper appetizer that was amazing.

My husband and I had a nice dinner. The waiter lingered alittle too much however he was knowledgeable and pleasant. The menu was different from other sushi restaurants I have been to. I am going to use the word Boujee and delicious to describe the food.

Me & a friend dined here Saturday night before attending a show. Brennan our server, was very attentive & friendly. He was knowledgeable about the items on the menu and seemed eager to assist us. My only qualm is that when I asked how many pieces came in the nigiri special, he quickly responded “2!” Unfortunately when the appetizer came it was only 1 piece each. I asked because I wanted to share the appetizer with my friend. We ended up cutting each piece into 2 pieces, but it was a little difficult to do. I asked him “I thought each one was 2 pieces?” To which again, he quickly said “it’s 2 per order” which is not what I asked him originally. Regardless everything was delicious & his service was very good, we will be back! Serves should take an extra second to ensure they understand questions to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

990 Broad is a great addition to the Augusta food scene! The presentations of the dishes were beautiful and the flavor was very good overall. We had a reservation for 2 people at 7:00 PM on a Friday night. We arrived on time and yet weren’t seated until 7:25 PM, despite our reservation. It also took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive, which felt a little slow for just two sushi rolls. The garlic pork spring rolls had good flavor and I enjoyed them, but they weren’t the best spring rolls I have ever had. The Wagyu roll was fun and creative, but the Hurricane roll was the best! We didn’t order any drinks, but they looked creative and delicious. The service was good despite the kitchen seeming a bit behind. Parking is difficult since it’s downtown Augusta, but the website does point out a lot that I can’t speak on because we didn’t try. Overall, I suggest visiting 990 Broad!

Everything was so delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try the other bao buns. We also got the mixed sushi tray. It was expensive but I promise it was worth it. The sushi chef was so nice and told us about each one. You could tell how excited he was to watch us eat his creations. Our waitress told us he had been there for a long time, which was nice to hear. Our waitress was also great. Very informative and made sure we understood all of our options. (We did show up for Valentines Day without a reservation and had no wait time. They sat us at the sushi bar.) Fried rice definitely worth the price and enough to easily share.

It is hard to find good sushi in Augusta but not anymore. I made it a point to come here a couple of times to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. I can joyfully say that it is not. For those that don’t know, this restaurant is part of Frog Hollow Hospitality Group which has a selection of wonderful concept restaurants throughout Augusta.

This outing I brought my family and we started with the Crab Rangoon, sorry ate a couple before the photo, and let me say – delish. I had a couple of pieces of Nigiri, not shown, and then we moved on to the rolls, the Kamikaze and Hurricane, all of which tasted unique and wonderful. My daughter who is vegetarian, had the Veg roll with Japanese pickled cucumbers stuffed with other goodness which she absolutely loved. The staff were excellent and on their game, very attentive and knowledgeable of the libations served. This place can be a little loud but after some cold unfiltered Saki it quiets down.

All the adverts I hear mentioned reservations being a must but each time I visited without and was accommodated. This place is in my top five restaurants for Augusta so kanpai!
